Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

"Round Table Revisited" (RTR)

Re: Round Table Revisited

Thanks Nics - hope yours was a happy one.

One more day of tennis and that's it for a while for us - no tennis elbow or athlete's foot here thankfully lol

Heat has been enervating here - a week ago Friday thought we were in for a new airconditioner.  Thankfully no, the extreme heat tripped the fuse.  One service company said they could come and check it out in Autumn!!!!

Fortunately someone with more knowhow walked us through tests and bingo - on it came again.  What a blessed relief but we now also have a couple of new fans to supplement it.

Anyway Nics - enjoy the week ahead 🙂

Re: Round Table Revisited

Morning Friends 🙂

Another hellishly hot day here today

In the scheme of things it does not much matter when one considers the alternative......

Fatal shark attack yesterday in North Fremantle took the life of a 16 year old girl - so very, very sad and devastating for her family, friends and those who witnessed the attack. 😞

Sounded like a bull shark attack.  There was another attack around this time last year (fortunately not fatal) at Blackwall Reach which is further up the Swan.

Hold those you love close!

Re: Round Table Revisited

How true Laney you just don`t know what`s going to happen next. I heard the news re shark attack and yes it seems a bull shark took the life of the 16 year old girl:-(  A bit of commotion outside last night, Harley was barking so loudly and looking outside was an ambulance. Seems my neighbour Barb slipped outside and badly damaged her hip/leg. No news as yet.

21c in Melb today and slowly it`s starting to warm up,have had the heater on for the past couple of nights. Keep cool Laney 37c is yuk!

Re: Round Table Revisited

Hi Nics

Hope all well with you and that your neighbour did not suffer too many injuries.  It is a fairly common thing though - with advanced years come falls 😞

I rail against the language of ageing though - you simply 'fall over' when you are younger but 'have a fall' when you are older.  No idea why this change in description has occurred.

Another hot day here today although not nearly as hot as we have experienced over the past few weeks.  It is good to be able to leave the double doors at the back open to the garden and allow a breeze to come through rather than rely on the airconditioning.

How did the get-together with your daughter and her new boyfriend go with the rest of the family?

Take care Nics - not too long now for the footy season to start lol

Re: Round Table Revisited

My neighbour is getting there although slowly. She was a very active lady so is finding not been able getting around very frustrating.  We have had a few hot days thank goodness, as I am not a lover of the heat. My weekly visit to Mont Albert village in Hamilton st is so sad. They are redoing the train line and have the train station is no more. The shops in Hamilton Street have been impacted severely by this. My favourite cafe is no more:-) Would be nice to hear if Deb still shops there Laney.

The meetup between them went good. They are still together!!lol

Go Cats!!

Re: Round Table Revisited

Hi Nics

Happy Pancake Day!!! Did you make any today?

Poor neighbour - how frustrating for her 😞  Hope she has a speedy recovery.

Change is never easy Nics - I hear what you are saying about Mont Albert.  Will the train station be replaced or has it been removed totally?

Glad things are going well for your daughter 🙂

Just back from the gym.  A sauna and steam bath added to the mix of a few laps sure is invigorating. I am feeling quite righteous lol
