Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

"Round Table Revisited" (RTR)

Re: Round Table Revisited

Nics, have you heard the new release of 'Now and Then' the remastered song by the Beatles?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AW55J2zE3N4&ab_channel=TheBeatles

Listened to it - not sure I like it.  It is sort of ghoulish to use voices from the past to recreate something in the 'now'

What does anyone else think?

Hot day today - spent at home thankfully - keeping the water up to the garden and the birds - another one but hotter tomorrow!

Re: Round Table Revisited

Thanks for the link Laney.

I loved the Beatles so any song of theirs (even remakes) I enjoyed.

Sat already the girls are off to play netball and I am off later to do a couple of opp shops!

Have a wonderful weekend. 😀

Re: Round Table Revisited

Hi Nics

Had a hot weekend - bushfires all around us - but in the scheme of things nothing in comparison to what happened in Daylesford 😞

So, so sad!

Worked today - temperatures lower thankfully ..... hopefully wind not so strong tonight and NO lightning!

Enjoy your Melbourne Cup Day tomorrow - both you and Kopes!  Are you going to a Cup Day luncheon?

It is not a big deal over here in the west - guess the 3 hour time difference might impact a bit on it.

We Stringers used to have a fun sweep on here but that is years ago now 😞

Anyway - enjoy tomorrow and good luck in your sweeps 🙂

Re: Round Table Revisited

Laney not doing anything special today,  not into horse racing it`s way over the top. Don`t like the jockeys using whips on the horses either. I will be glad when it`s all over.

Had animal sitting last night as my youngest daughter spent the night in Yea with her sister and the kids. Nice and quiet here 🙂

So sad with what happened in Daylesford too Laney,  it seems the 66 year old bloke was speeding 😞

Re: Round Table Revisited

Hi Nics

Have the fur babies become accustomed to your new abode now or do you have to go back to your old house to sit them?

Hope you had a peaceful day yesterday - I was working and forgot all about the race but I must admit we got up to watch the final overs in the cricket last night - AMAZING recovery!!!!!!

Poor Optus subscribers - sure hope the outage is resolved soon.  Unfortunately we do rely on these things these days despite knowing what it was like BEFORE the internet and mobile phones lol.  I was associated with a merchant bank when they were first introduced and I think that was when the word w*nkers                      ( associated with 'merchant' ) originated when we watched them posing as they were walking along George Street in the city hahahahahaha.

Better day weatherwise here - many of the fires have been contained but many still not under control 😞

The smoke has been terrible - particularly difficult for anyone with breathing problems (as I know you have Nics)

Stay safe Nics 😄

Re: Round Table Revisited

Hi Laney,

For some reason the cat isn`t at ease in the flat so if someone brings him up he will stay and sleep on my bed by the window to get some sun, where as Harley on the other hand loves to keep me company all the time if he could.

Optus if my internet and phone provider so it`s been a very frustrating day.😠

Good to read that the many of the fires have been contained. Somehow I think we will be in for a very hot summer. Bit of rumble atm, thunder some lightning and a small sprinkling of rain but still warm.

Re: Round Table Revisited

Laney, I watched the cricket up until the loss of the 6th wicket. Like most other followers

I ASSumed it was all over. Woke to the unbelievable result. Amazing effort under such extreme

conditions. Nic, my surgery is 28th November, seems I was pushed forward due to some issues.

I had laser to try and get by, but it hasn't improved the vision nor the issue. The laser caused a spike with

pressure. I am actually taking my glasses off to drive, so the vision is blerk!! My eldest brother is blind from

macular and inherited glaucoma. My son is currently the driver for any long distance trips.

Re: Round Table Revisited

Hiya Freddie - great to see you!

You ladies will both be seeing things better once your eye surgery is behind you.

You won't believe what a difference it will make - driving is so much easier now, being able to read the street signs.  Seriously, it really is better.

Don't have to wear glasses to drive, read or sit at computer and colours are so much brighter! In fact not sure what I even wear them for now - is there an operation for that sort of memory lapse?

So Freddie your surgery is on 28th November - Nics what date is yours scheduled?

Weather forecast said rain today - must have missed it this morning ..... hopefully some this afternoon.

Enjoy your day girls ~~~~~~~~~
