Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

"Round Table Revisited" (RTR)

They are baby Romas Laney.  I will keep watering them like mad then because I don't like their tough skins as much.  They are very tasty though.  The mother in law's plant is fruiting well ahead of mine.  Mine are her babies.

Re: Round Table Revisited

They look great, Joono! But just wait until they're ripe and you have to live on tomatoes for weeks :^O

Took me a while to get used to the tougher skins j*oono but imo the taste is far better than the regular ones for sale.

I rarely buy the others these days.

Re: Round Table Revisited

I agree Laney, I prefer the Romas too.

Apart from fresh, my favourite way to have them is sliced in two and sprinkled with onion powder and basil, then grilled. Absolute yum. My GD did not like/eat tomatoes until I gave them to her that way and now she eats them anyway she can LOL

Re: Round Table Revisited

I like Romas best for the flavour as well.

All this talk about the heat in WA. Firstly let me say I really feel for you. Secondly let me say I'm glad it's not here over east but I think wer'e not going to escape either.

I check the daily weather report because my beautiful rescue madonna lily has put out so many flowers this year, the most ever since I've had it.

I would be heartbroken if they all got scorched again as in previous summers.

So I'm on the ready to bring it in off the balcony at the first sign of scorching weather.

So far, so good.

already the first flower has a scorched tip X-(

Gee Icy - you have my share of flowers ....... I have only got 2 on one of my plants.

Those leaves are looking a bit yellow though - is that your camera or do you think you should feed it some Seasol as the volume of it might have leached all the goodness out of the limited amount of earth in the pot?

I am just about to re-pot ours into some new soil to give them new life but the leaves are still dark green.

Ours are Peace lilies though - although yours looks like one too.

I love their shiny dark leaves (and the 2 white flowers we have) as a counterpoint to their terracotta pots. 😄

You're right Laney, I do worry about the yellow leaves, the whole plant never manages to look completely green, but otherwise seems to thrive. Seasol? I have osmocote, but I'm a bit wary of using it. I burnt my azalea to a crisp.

Maybe it's time to repot, but after summer.

Re: Round Table Revisited

I have only 1 red flower between 3 pots so mine are not doing too well. However they do live indoors and don't get bright light. I like the green foilage anyway 🙂

And,  I hate to see bullying on these boards.

Re: Round Table Revisited

Seasol won't harm your plant Icy, it encourages strong root growth. It is not a fertiliser so won't burn your plant.
