The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Iza................my Dad was Scottish...........and he played the bagpipes.............so every year I make sure I watch the Military Tattoo.

He used to say my singing sounded like the droning noise of the bagpipes.:O

I am not a bagpipe lover either.

Wedding we went to a few weeks ago had a Scottish groom. He and his groomsmen were all kilted out for the occasion. Bagpipes played on the beach and at the reception and somehow I always managed to be standing nearby when they started up....ear ouchies!!!

The groom's parents and family came from Scotland for the wedding. It was all very themed and looking delightful.

I asked the father of the groom the name of the kilt groom was wearing, was it a family kilt?

Reply, "He has never worn a kilt in his life. We don't have a family kilt'. The colours represent Scotland the Brave". All my warm fuzzy feeling went right out the window LOL LOL LOL

Sadly our family kilt is ugly..............well the colours are.

I love the bagpipes 🙂

Takes me back to my childhood when I used to watch the piper on Scots oval every evening in the fading light.

Was very atmospheric!

I don't think there is any middle ground with bagpipes..............they either touch your heart with pride..............or you hate them.

I don't hate them, I just don't go out of my way to listen to them, like going to a Tattoo

I like them .Just don't listen to them or go to listen to them with my hubby.I could have recorded it to watch now as he and my son and DD are in bed.I was heading that way myself ...have just heard some loud shouting and gunshot not far away in the bush so will stay up for a while.My hubby has to get up early for work in the morning else he would stay up.

Gunshots are a worry. Are you sure it is not fireworks?

no it's gunshot.It's not unusual here.It's just a bit closer than I like it to be with the animals in the paddocks and there is a bit of yobbo type shouting going on
