Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

"Round Table Revisited" (RTR)

I had the cricket on the radio in the background whilst I was working. As a result I missed most of it :^O

I would lik to have seen that as I believe there were tributes to Tony Greig and more particularly because it is Mr Cricket's last test match 😞

Re: Round Table Revisited

I didn't catch the tributes to Tony but believe they were lovely from some pictures I've seen.  I was in the Radiologists waiting room when they had it on as mini had to have her arm x-rayed again before the cast can come off.

Talking about matters medical I hope that everything went OK for Mr and Mrs Freddie today - they have been in my thoughts.

Re: Round Table Revisited

I think so but there was some confusion between what we were verbally told by the attending Dr in A&E as to what type of fracture it was as that has conflicted with the report that was submitted to our GP as they never sent the xrays, so he wanted to check before cutting it off.

He told us it was a greenstick fracture and fully explained that to both myself and mini but the report says a buckle fracture and they are different to each other.

I had a greenstick fracture when I was young and fell out of a tree.  No idea about a buckle fracture but it is a worry when you get conflicting information isn't it!

Re: Round Table Revisited

It is and I don't hold it against the Dr in A&E I know those poor devils work very hard and long shifts and he was at the end of his shift.

A Buckle fracture forces the bone to bulge out on the opposite side to where it occurs unlike greenstick which happens on the side it's hit on, a buckle is lesser fracture to greenstick I believe which is a relief.

It was years ago of course but I did not think a greenstick fracture required a plaster cast - things have most probably changed since then though.

Ohhhh OK - the buckle sounded much worse 😞

I always thought the greenstick was just a simple fracture which sort of sprung back into place more or less.
