Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

"Round Table Revisited" (RTR)

Re: Round Table Revisited

Well we have covered tomato.

I will do the temperature............and you lovely ladies can do the tennis.

It is 12.6 degrees here at the moment..............with a top of 16 expected to morrow.

Fingers crossed the predicted wind doesn;t cause any more fires here.

I suspect Prim might be busy doing other 'stuff' - so I will take up the cudgels and tell you that Bernard Tomic won his match in Sydney this afternoon :^O

Imagine playing in this heat - I just sat and watched in airconditioned comfort 😉

Re: Round Table Revisited

Laney, my OH won't eat peas either, lol.

I remember once we went to a little local asian restaurant and he ordered fried rice, but no peas.

She nodded and went off.

A bit later she brings a plate of fried rice choc a bloc with peas.

He looks at it, decides not to make a fuss, then sits there and proceeds to pick every single pea out and put it on the side of the plate. Then he ate the fried rice.

I was like 😮

Deb, that's a good idea! I noticed that accusation last night to the poor newbie 😞

I don't like cucumber... even if one slice touches other veggies, it tastes yuk. But I was given a cucumber seedling so I had to grow it to avoid offending and now the #%# thing has cucumbers on it. They'll go in the bucket on the verge lol

Re: Round Table Revisited

Of course, you all HAD to be discussing food tonight :^O

My mum loved chokos, almost lusted after them. She par-boiled them and put a white sauce over them. She preferred to have that for her dinner than anything else when she got elderly.

:^O Icy :^O

Your OH is a man of taste obviously!!

I do exactly the same thing when I order, however, I send it back if arrives with peas in it.  The sweet taste of them spoils the fried rice taste to my palate.

When I was a child, I had to sit and pick the peas out like he does - can still remember that pseudo sweet flavour which permeated the rice 😞

Now I am an adult - NO PEAS!!!!!!

Re: Round Table Revisited

Flashie, if your soup curdles, could you make it up without the curdling ingredient (I am assuming it is cream or milk or yoghurt of something. Then when you heat it, stir the curdling ingredient in at that stage?

Oh Karen - have you tried the 'Macca's' Mocha Frappe yet?

I had to dash out for something (not cigs today) and they were out of Mocha - so I had a caramel one ....... Not nearly as nice .... too sickly sweet!
