Hey, it looks really nice Karen & yes they do look like tomatoes.

:^O why tomatoes I wonder????

Maybe it's a harvest picture? I see grapes, too... but mainly I see those damn tomatoes :^O
perhaps it comes from a farming region like Griffith, where they grow those things. I don't love it, but I like the workmanship... All those different coloured bits of wood inlaid without any seams.
I got a kitchen dresser too, but it's an ugly wood. Someone has previously painted it white, but then someone else has sanded the paint off to bare wood again. There are bits of white paint still inside. I'm thinking of repainting it white... Do you reckon I should, or is that sacrilegious to do that to antiques?

It must symbolize something Karen, I just went up to our lounge room because Ithe plaster ceiling rose thereI has flowers.... And pineapples. What it all means I don't know
Is your dresser pine? Or one of those ones with lead light doors, ?, they're usually oak or black wood

It must be a harvest thing, I think?
the dresser isn't pine, I forgot what the antique lady told me... But it's a bit pale. It doesn't have any knots or nice features in the wood but I bought it because it has lots of cubby holes for storing things. It's from the 30s and has rounded sides, so it's made of some kind of stretchy wood :^O I'm not very good at antiques, I just like the quality of old time workmanship.

Good morning Stringsters 🙂
Karen, they look like Persimmons to me, which would make sense because it sort of suggests persistence and if it was made for a farm or property, or even early settlers in Australia, that would probably be the sort of 'meaning' they would have.
I am feeling a bit poorly today so I want lots of sympathy please 😞
Waves to the MIAs but not too hard so my germs don't get airborne!

Good morning everyone 🙂
By jove Prim. I do believe you are right. They are persimmons, not tomatoes.
Noice.

Ok I'm happy again now... it's much nicer to have persimmons than tomatoes lol, even though I'm not a big fan of persimmons.
Do you have the flu, Prim? I hope a restful Sunday helps you to feel better.

Not sure what is wrong but feeling very crappy. It feels a bit like glandular fever, I will know after I see the doctor tomorrow.
Are you about to cook the big Sunday breakfast Joono?
