Good morning all from me too ๐
What beautiful rain last night j*oono! The entire garden is smiling and I love the way the branches are weighed down by raindrops. Everything smells so fresh and clean too ......
except the floor - madam's wet paw marks from her early morning visit outdoors :^O

I was surprised when I woke up this morning Laney that there were puddles outside. I didn't even hear the rain except lightly before I went to bed.
It does look nice outside and it should be a pretty mild week. The boys loved the roast last night to commemorate some cooler weather lol. It's the first one I've done in so long I couldn't remember how.

Oh yummmmm. I had forgotten you were having roast lamb.
Lots of crunchy potatoes and pan made gravy I bet. Do you bake carrots too? They have to be favourites of mine.
I cooked a huge pot of vegetable and barley soup. It is one of our winter favourites and so easy to grab a bowl for those quick meals.

Yes, I bake the lot except for the broccoli. I even threw in some beetroot.
One thing that I do love is pearl barley in a winter soup. I'd better add that to my shopping list.

I have never baked beetroot. Do you peel it first or does the baking sort of caramelise the skin?
Does the colour leach out and colour the other veggies?
