So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

They're beautiful photos, Clair! Brrr snow looks so pretty but the **bleep** stuff is so cold. Have you been outside with the grandies to make snowballs and snowmen?

Well, that was an exhausting two days, Stringers. I'm plum tuckered out lol

I'm plum tuckered out too (or words to that effect). 

I just picked the one and only baby broccolini from my plants and proudly zapped it in the microwave and it all shrivelled up and looked a bit burnt and it was very chewy.

I'm not very good at this vegetable gardening.

Oh no, did you shrivel your only broccolini? I'm sorry but I cannot offer cooking advice... I generally eat things raw straight from the garden. Or boil it to oblivion lol

I couldn't.  It was all tough and it had yellow flowers on it.  I think you are supposed to cut them before they get the little yellow flowers.

Lol yes you are... but it think they're still ok with the little flowers lol. It's a shame you only got one broccolini .. how many did you plant?
