Hi Deb
He really is cute - but sooooooooo small.
When you see pics of him he looks so much bigger but the reality is so different.
We have a statue over here called Eliza. She is in the waters of Matilda Bay and is often dressed up on special occasions. Every time I see her I am reminded of the little fellow in Brussels but she is life-sized.
I remember two mermaids who were on the rocks at North Bondi - they were often dressed up too. Not sure if they are still there though. Been years since I was there.
There is also the Little Mermaid in Copenhagen and here in Fremantle we have many bronze statues of men, dogs - and even Bon Scott ![]()

I didn't know that statue had a name Laney. Eliza I'm talking about. She is great.
My favourite one is the native animals coming out of the man hole cover in Gozzy. I'll see if I can find the pic.

Hi j*oono - have not seen those you mentioned. Hope you can find a pic!
One of my favourites in Freo is an Italian immigrant with his suitcase and he is being followed by a dog. It always catches visitors attention 🙂

I can't find it Laney and I know I have seen it online before. I was just trying to tackle the City of Gosnells website. Atrocious!

I can't find it Laney. I just wasted an hour of my life on that silly website. I will take a photo next time I am down that way.
