Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

"Round Table Revisited" (RTR)

Re: Stringers

I hope your daffodils stand back up Flashie, they probably will unless they are broken.

Wow, I can see the surface of my working areas. I have finally got through the fiddly tasks. It feels good to be on top of things at last ๐Ÿ™‚

I tried something different for dinner tonight. We had prawns and I was running out of ideas on how to cook them.

I came across a recipe which was so easy I used it and the meal was delicious. It took 4 minutes to cook the prawns and 8 minutes to cook the rice.

  1. Heat olive oil in a very large skillet.

  1. Add the garlic, cumin, ginger and cayenne and cook over moderate heat until fragrant, about 1 1/2 minutes.

  1. Add the prawns and cook, stirring, until they turn pink, 2 to 4 minutes. Season with salt and stir in the coriander. I served it with steamed basmati rice. Yum.

Re: Stringers

That sounds yum, Prim. I had zucchini and a potato for dinner... I was going to do something fancy with it, like fricassee with exotic herbs and drizzled with slowly steeped Mongolian sauce, but I ended up chucking the spud in the oven and steaming the zucchini ๐Ÿ˜„

I lied. I had no such exotic plans.

Re: Stringers

I decided I needed to clean out the freezer today..............just to make sure there was no meat down the bottom that needed using.

Hubby found two pork chops.......so he wanted them for tea with chips and eggs.

Boys had home made pizza..............and I picked at bits and pieces of both meals as I was going....so I was not very hungry.

There is a bit of a lull in the windy weather here too.

Re: Stringers

Dinner sounds lovely Prim.  I am doing prawns and I'm doing pork too.  I was doing a pork fillet stir fry but then I descovered I had an extra for dinner and thought I needed a bit more bulk so I bought a few nice prawns to go in it.

Do Pork and prawns go together?  They do now Smiley Very Happy

Re: Stringers

Yes they go together, Joono. Yum!

There's an excellent documentary on ABC2 tonight at 8:30, 5 Broken Cameras. It's about "A Palestinian farmer chronicles both the life of his new born son as well as non-violent resistance to the actions of the Israeli army."

I've been looking forward to seeing it... It got academy awards and the shorts are amazing

Re: Stringers

Yep, pork and prawns are a good combination. Sounds like it will be quite tasty.

Enjoy your night Laney and if the ringing in your ears as you try to get to sleep is too disturbing, turn the radio on, down low, and it will drown out a bit of the buzzing ๐Ÿ™‚

Re: Stringers

I've never had pickled pork, Flashie.  Is that sort of like a pork silverside?

The only sauce I really know for pork is apple.
