Oh my goodness I tell you why I say that, because at the small country cemetery I where I put natives, there is big bullants nests all over the place and I took my granddaughter last weekend after the farmers market and I just didn't think as she was jumping around
And she disturbed all the bullants and they were running up her little legs, not one bit her thank goodness
Oh my gosh it was terrible

I once ran over a bull ants nest with a lawn mower. That was a bit scary as I have been bitten by one before and it hurts like hell. I didn't much like seeing them come swarming out of the nest.
I think I had to get someone to go back and fetch the mower for me lol

I probably should keep quiet about this because I LOVE peas..... but it is Laney who does not like them...with a loathing.
Clair, your granddaughter is extremely lucky and you are extremly lucky too as you were spared the guilt if she was bitten. I know when I had my grandies I was always worried that they stayed 'undamaged' until I returned them to their parents LOL. Somehow it feels worse if they hurt themselves while they are with you.
We had to go to a funeral in Nyngan....bull ant central. I was used to the bull ants and was always wary but it was my OH's first visit.
We pulled into the cemetary, he opened his door and started to get out but wanted something from the glove box. So, with foot still on the ground he leaned across and was rummaging in the glove box. Luckily I had walked around the other side of the car so saw that he had disturbed a bull ant nest and they were running up his leg. ''
Here he was dancing around the car, stomping and trying to get them off, with all the funeral attendees wondering what on earth was going on and who was that fool dancing in the cemetary! Ah, the memories ๐
