Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

"Round Table Revisited" (RTR)

Re: Round Table Revisited

Beautiful tree, Deb, but hurry and get this year's up so I can see it and be festive vicariously through you 😄 You've got artistic skills....love the antique decor

Good morning Stringers 🙂 I've been out, now I'm home, back to work soon but I think I'll only stay for an hour and finish the rest at home later.

Re: Round Table Revisited

Good morning Stringers Smiley Happy

Yesterday developed into a hectic one so I did not get back in to post.  I did catch up on my reading a bit though late last night Smiley Surprised

Enjoying your Christmas LOLcat thread Flashie - I will have to try and find a few pics to make a contribution but you are the past master at them lol

Prim, your Mum and mine were so alike in so many ways.  Many have forgotten such wise words or perhaps they did not have the benefit of Mum's like ours.  You have to feel sorry for them if that is the case.

Another beautiful day in the wonderful west - in between a swim and gym I have managed to put up our front door wreath.  It would make a great entry on the ROUND thread but afraid I don't have time to take any pics at the moment.

Karen, I have made an executive decision to white-out of my diary any further 'Christmas' functions at work this year.  I am still trying to recover from last week's disastrous 'function'.

Have to post and run right now - will look back in later tonight.  Have a great day everyone.

P.S. Deb I remember your beautiful tree and am looking forward to seeing this year's one when you have finished decorating it.

Re: Round Table Revisited

I have a tree but it has an eagles nest in it, well it's not my tree but it's kinda cool. I was lucky enough to see the eagles when the baby was just out of the nest, they have since moved on but I saw two of them circling high up in the sky

Re: Round Table Revisited

Wow you are lucky, Clair! I would love to have an eagle's nest near my house. Do you still see them? i wonder if they return to the nest each spring?

I did have a crested pigeon's nest in the tree near my front door, but a magpie swooped down, destroyed the nest and gobbled up the eggs.

I'm still laughing at your other posts from...was it yesterday? 😄 say it like it is haha!

Re: Round Table Revisited

Yeah not really near my house but a place we often go. I don't know if they return to the nest each spring? And it was only 2 weeks ago I saw the three of them but on the weekend only two cirlcing so that leaves me to wonder what happens to the baby? Does it have to go fend for itself, find a new area fairly soon? I know they are very territorial and I know their territory extends for miles.

They were wedgetail eagles

Re: Round Table Revisited

We used to have to dodge the wedge tails when we went flying in the Cessna, Clair...but then they nearly became extinct due to feral animal baiting. I love seeing them as I drive around the countryside 🙂

I think they might return to their nest next breeding season because when I was on hols they had a man made eagle nest. All the tall trees had been chopped down so the council erected a tall pole with a fake nest area on top...and the eagles used it.

Hi Iza 🙂 I feel sick because I ate a big bowl of caramel and macadamia icecream. I usually don't buy icecream because I got rid of my freezer, so after I'd bought it I had to eat it 😄

Re: Round Table Revisited

When we were kids Dad would take us out fishing and shooting.........(being the only girl I quickly learned to like the boys stuff.........or I would have to stay home)

Back then there used to be bounties on Hawks and Eagles.........................and my brothers would shoot them if they saw any..................terrible...............but they did not know any different back then.

I also remember my youngest brother arguing with our middle brother...........(not a good idea...........he had a rotten temper)..........................and...............my middle brother told him he had 10 seconds before he shot him..........(it was a slug gun).........................and my silly youngest brother remained arguing for 5 of those 10 seconds.

Yepppppppppppppppppppp..................he got shot in the butt.

Dad was furious.............middle brother got an old fashioned belting..................but was unrepentant.
