So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Things that could go wrong:

- I could drop it
- over whip the cream
- eat the strawberries before I make it

I bought raspberries and blueberries to put in it too.

Flashie's cheesecake sounds yum, so does the trifle and orange choc things...but they are beyond my skillset and patience lol

Well Stringers, I'd better get to the kitchen and find all my baking dishes etc for tomorrow, to minimise bad language when I can't find something essential.

That means I am going to have to head out again when all I really want to do is have a lie down 

The raspberries are like sirens calling - can here them here dammit.

- I could drop it ..Won't matter because it is meant to be smashed anyway
- over whip the cream...If that happens just use it anyway, the fruit and crumbly meringue will disguise it
- eat the strawberries before I make it ....that will leave raspberries and blueberries still to use. Did you get a passionfruit???

When I was a small girl we used to go to my favourite Aunties every Christmas Eve and she would give us some Christmas Lillies to take home.

For me it was always the smell of Christmas.....................my favourite Auntie has been gone 10 years now.

But I always try to buy some lillies to remind me of those times.

But we had a few unexpected hic cups this week and I did not get to buy them yesterday as planned.

So my daughter bought these home from work for me today.............hopefully the lillies will be out tomorrow.

Sometimes it is nice to be spoiled.

Deb,  you must be relieved that the shops are closed now 🙂

I have this feeling that  I have forgotten something and it won't go away.

We usually have a mini street party in our tiny cul de sac on Christmas Eve. There are not many of us but next door's grandchildren make up the numbers and we usually interact and take them into our homes to see our trees and give small gifts etc.

We just got told this afternoon that the grandies have come down with chicken pox so we have decided to call it all off. I am sure I will find something to do 🙂
