Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

"Round Table Revisited" (RTR)

Re: Round Table Revisited

Cumquat is another citrus that looks great in a pot...you can make drinks from the fruit

Re: Round Table Revisited

I'm not real keen on cumquats though karen.  It reminds me of the time many years ago when I tried to make cumquat brandy and it was disgusting.  Like drinking very sweet marmalade.  Blerk

Re: Round Table Revisited

Someone made cumquat brandy from outpr fruit, when we had a tree...erk, I know what you mean. Like alcoholic marmalade.

They're difficult to use because they're so tiny, hard to peel etc, but they make the most delicious citrus cordial....not worth the pain of growing a tree tho.

Ok, mandarins can also be grown in pots 😄

Re: Round Table Revisited

Mandarins would be good.  A seedless one would be great!

Re: Round Table Revisited

Do I take it j*oono that you don't like the seeds in mandarins either?

We have a huge mandarin tree here and the fruit goes uneaten most of the time (at least what the rats leave us) because I don't like the seeds either lol lol

Good afternoon Stringers by the way Smiley Happy

Re: Round Table Revisited

I'm the same, I prefer mandarins without seeds...and grapes too.

Did you have a relaxing day, Laney? I'm walking wounded...got stabbed about 20 times by springy tie wire lol. I'm so blind I can't see it, so it kept stabbing me....but I got the job done, after a few sulk breaks.

Re: Round Table Revisited

Hi all, I must admit I'm not keen on either cumquats or mandarins or even marmalade, but I have grown cumquats successfully in pots in the past, they look good growing in a pot.
Has the Christmas spirit been and gone?
We are having a muchly needed quiet night in tonight

Re: Round Table Revisited

Hi Karen Smiley Happy

I forgot about grapes - I don't like the seeds in them either ......... only ever buy the seedless varieties lol.

Sounds like you have had a productive day with your trellis, despite being the walking wounded now!  I was going to mention to you that somewhere in the memory bank is the need to have two passionfruit plants for cross-pollination.  It might be worth checking out to avoid disappointment.  Of course I could be wrong - only the mediocre are at their best all the time Smiley LOL

My day?  It was enjoyably relaxing as yesterday in particular I was run off my feet. It has also been a thoughtful time over these few days and I really needed a few days respite. Went for a morning swim and then settled in to watch a bit of the cricket.

We have been blessed with perfect weather here which has been a bonus.

Re: Round Table Revisited

Night in for me too.

Going to stay up late and watch a movie.

My lemon tree has offed itself. The roses are crispy and fried.

The kids are sick to death of ham.

I've somehow become an Avon lady LOL! I signed up from a flyer in the supermarket to perhaps buy their stuff online and I bought some and now I am an Avon lady. This will be a laugh...

Re: Round Table Revisited

It appears so Deb.  It's great that you can buy seedless grapes so easily now.  I pass an orchard now and then that sometimes has a seedless mandarins for sale sign up.  I should drop in.
