Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

"Round Table Revisited" (RTR)

Re: Round Table Revisited

Good morning Stringsters

That does sound fun Deb. I hope the weather stays clear for the fireworks.

We have been without our second car for two weeks while it have been in for mechanical repairs. It has clipped our wings a little because we can't 'do our own thing' without discussing who needs the car first. We will eventually be a one car family so I suppose I had best get used to it.

We have a council pick up here at the moment. We were told to put our discards out last Sunday, so for a week we have put up with scavengers going through the piles on the footpaths.  I have lost count of the number of times I have called for the thoughtless of some who take items out of boxes we have neatly arranged on the verge and go to walk away leaving them scattered.

I call from the window to request they please replace everything back in the boxes. So far all have been happy to do it but why didn't they do that in the first place. Why do they think it is ok to make the Council drivers work harder by picking up scatter instead of neat boxes?

Have a good day everyone.

Re: Round Table Revisited

Sounds like we have a Stringers 'sewing circle' developing Smiley LOL

I really have nothing to report other than one flat dog ...... the heat yesterday really knocked her about.

Despite having copious amounts of fresh water and plenty of shady spots she was dehydrated and spent most of the night re-hydrating herself.  Steaming her some chicken fillets to try and get some food into her to counteract the effects of re-hydration Smiley Frustrated

Re: Round Table Revisited

'bleep' a leekie soup???......now that just shows how ridiculous the moderation on this board is.

Clearly we are over moderated. We have to put up with a mod deciding what we mean when we write a post or what THEY think is appropriate for others to read ...here. Things that can be said out in the REAL world but apparently we all have to pretend we live in some fairy tale world where it is all sugar and spice and everything nice.

It's laughable.

Hi Laney 🙂

I believe Flashie enjoys a prattie or a potato cake Smiley Very Happy  I will be cooking today but it is stuff to take for our traditional Australia day trip to the river.

Poor LL.  Baloo get's rehydrated by swims in the stinky fish pond.

Re: Round Table Revisited

Hi Prim and j*oono Smiley Happy

It got a resigned laugh from me when I saw the auto bleep - pretty pathetic isn't it!  I could not be bothered trying to circumvent that sort of thing Smiley LOL

Ahhhhh - your traditional get together j*oono - I recall how much you enjoy that day.

What will you be cooking?

I will leave the sewing to those who 'do' too j*oono - still haunted by an unfinished quilt in the wardrobe - just cannot get up the courage to toss it as perhaps one day in my dotage I might just want to finish it (rusty pins notwithstanding) lol

Re: Round Table Revisited

Thanks Prim - I cooked the chicken and even that is not interesting her at the moment ....... will just keep an eye on her through the day - and inside in the airconditioning.

Re: Round Table Revisited

I'm just making the asparagus tart and also a mushroom one that I haven't tried yet.  I also have a couple of new dip recipes that I want to try out.  One is a roasted capsicum and chilli one that sounds nice.

The recipes are all from the Recipes+ magazine.  I have to see if they are worth adding to the journal : )
