Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

Round Table Revisited

Good morning Stringsters

Laney I did a bit of online Christmas shopping last night too. I got a lot of fiddly things, like fillers for the Christmas bon-bons, etc. Shopping for these usually takes me hours of strolling around huge shopping centres and takes more effort and thought process than the 'real' presents, so it was a huge time and leg-work saver for me.

It is freezing here and I have to say, hopefully without sounding  too much of a whinger, that I have had enough RAIN!!! thank you very much. To say it is like mid winter is an understatement and my garden thinks it is winter so the flowering has stopped and my petunias have turned to mush. Can someone please order some sunshine.

Have a good day everyone.

Summer disappeared for us this week too Prim, but now it 's back again.

Round Table Revisited

Morning everyone.  I wish I could send you some nice Perth weather Prim. It has been very nice but the humidity is a bit high today.

My son is back from his Qld holiday now and he said that the weather was strange there.  Hot in the day time and then in the afternoon every day an enormous electrical storm to cool everything down again.

I've put Christmas shopping on hold this week while ex is around but he is off tomorrow so next week it will be all systems go in search of the perfect leg of pork.  My annual contribution to Christmas lunch.

Joono, for 3 weeks our weather was exactly as your son experienced, hot days and frightening thunderstorms every afternoon, now we just have rain, rain and more rain, with freezing winds.

I still don't have Foxtel because the electrical storms wiped it out and they are soooooo busy installing new systems for their latest VICTIMS, that I had to wait 14 days for a technician to come to fix it. I demanded a faster service and spent hours on the phone but got nowhere. Funnily enough every appointment offered was on a Sunday (double pay) and in my heart I suspect they 'go slow' though the week to ensure they get paid double. I may be wrong but having seen their antics in years gone by, I doubt it. I want to cancel it but OH doesn't....stalemate ๐Ÿ™‚

Love pork but apart from OH no one else does so I cook some on Boxing day for us.

The ex insists that he doesn't eat pork.  He sure did enjoy that pork belly I cooked this week and he loves the pork ribs on the barbie and the pork fillet stir fry.  But he doesn't eat pork.  He is very insistent about that LOL

I don't think I have bought a piece of pork for this years Christmas dinner............I think I got some beef instead.

I am not a huge meat eater................but the men in the family are...........so I let them choose what they want.............and then we figure out what we can have hot and what we need to have cold.

The birthday hat has been put away for another year...................yay!!!!

I had an interesting conversation with our youngest grandson this morning............

He is coming up five..........and as bright as a button............he misses nothing.

He had to go and have a blood test done this morning..............and there is only one Pathology that do young children.

So to keep him occupied on the drive there we played a family game called "SPOTTO".............you have to call out spotto when you see a yellow car.

Now this grandson has a bit of a competitive streak.................and he does not like it when he does not win.

He keeps changing the rules of the game.................he said it counts when he calls spotto on a yellow house........................................but when I called spotto on a man wearing a santa suit riding a yellow motorbike he said it does not count.

And when I asked him why......................he said................................because Santa does not ride a bike.

I asked him how he knew that.

He replied............................because Santa bought a jeep................................Cat LOL
