Round Table Revisited

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

We decided after tea last night to go back to the house last night and put the first coat on one of the bedroom walls.

BIG mistake.

We only had one ladder so I decided to stand on the coffee table.

All was going well.

Hubby had finished the cutting in so went out to wash out his brush.

I had the coffee table behind the door rollering the last wall.

I stepped back down to get more paint..............and stepped on hubbys ladder.............banging my hand really hard.

Then I somehow managed to step back and flip the paint tray and all the blue paint EVERYWHERE.

Because the table was behind the door I was on my own.

I had to scoop the paint up in my hands and put it back in the tray.

I had it in my socks and shoes...............so I had to quickly take them off so I did not walk it around the room in my panic to clean it up.

What a mess.

I am over this painting stuff................I am looking forward to a day off from it.

oh no Flashie- that created a whle lot more work for you. When our son was 2 years old, he stepped back and sat in a tin of paint we were using- so I know what it's like lol

It is thundering a bit here...................I have to laugh..........our youngest son is still afraid of it........even though he tries to hide it.

He is currently outside doing his body building..............and I can hear him swearing every time there is a clap of thunder.

Back to painting tomorrow............I have our grandson most of the day...........so not sure how much painting I can do.............I can't expect him to sit and watch............he will soon get bored.

I had raspberries and yoghurt for tea tonight...........I am still not sick of them yet............I have been buying jam raspberries.....................cheaper..............and I don't mind if they are a little bit squished.

Another day of painting  coming up..............well as much as I can do before our grandson gets bored.

He has his ipad................snacks............and supervisors chair.

Our new tenants move in on Saturday.............I wont be finished painting................but the main rooms will be done.................and I can finish off the other rooms next week............I don't have babysitting duties.

We all forgot to set our alarms last night..............so we are running late.............son was late for work.

we have a lovely cool change here, not much rain with it though, it's a nice relief from yesterdays 42 degrees.

I know I am...........and the words "never again" comes to mind.

We are back home...............grandson has had enough...........so I will go back to painting when he has gone home.

It is only 17 here today...............talk about extremes................35 yesterday.

You've been feeling the heat too. I had quite a bit of running around to do yesterday in the heat so I spent today recovering from it. Enjoying the cooler weather here

Busy day at the office but a sense of satisfaction with what I achieved.  Riveting I know lol

Another work day tomorrow .... roll on the weekend.

Glad you got a bit of respite from the heat today girls - certainly makes sleeping easier.

We have a hottie heading our way tomorrow - in fact it started this afternoon. It just seemed to get hotter as the afternoon was closing in.

Just heard the sad news that Alan Rickman passed away
