.......Rotto ferries cancelled today, thunderstorms predicted, BIG drops of WA rain and the earth moved for some last night
Not me though - was exhausted after this past week and the meteor could have landed in our back yard and I would have been none the wiser
Gosh, a weeks break from the AFL - we have our local finals here though so it will not be a complete drought (sorry to use that word t'othersiders). US Open underway though
Cricket not for a while Sandy ....... take heart
Sandy I have spent a little while catching up on your house progress and delighted to read that you have an alternative to go to in the interim (despite it being unconscionable for your current landlord). I know you will keep an eye on Frank to make sure he does not do too much in the moves but please, please make sure you don't do too much either. The family needs you as their 'glue' to keep you all heading in the right direction
Freddie, I did watch a bit of your favourite game on the weekend - made my knees ache! Have been catching up too and have been having a good laugh at you ....... you ........ monkey
A friend who is a Pies supporter (how could that happen you say) is currently wandering around Devon and Cornwall at the moment but is heading back next week. Tried to dissuade her given they have NO chance - hope she is still talking to me on her return.
Deb, forgetting Collingwood SHOULD be intentional
In the final analysis, I think we will be barracking for the Dees (just to share the spoils around) - a Dees/Tigers GF would be the ticket ..... talking of which friends here who are Dees supporters got caught up in that debacle of ticketek to get additional tickets. You would think ticketek could have foreseen the problems and split the sales of tickets up individually. You wonder about management sometimes

~~~ Hello Laney โฅ
I hope you are well - sounds like you are sleeping OK so that's a good sign
had that meteor landed in your back yard I think your feet would have hit the floor quick smart.
I see our Sam is out in the first round 'again' I guess apperance money helps pay the bills. I'm so
pleased you watched my special sport Laney I was barracking for the West Coast girls - sadly it
wasn't their day - you know you have no hope defending a player who is 196cm tall unless you have a ladder
in your pocket. That monkey gets me in a lot of trouble laney it has to be the smile or maybe the wink in his
cheeky eye poor little thing it's just not fair. Did you see my lovely cake Laney? I heard back
it looked like a cow pat That from someone who can't boil water is a compliment. I had some sun
spots zapped today so in a few day's i'm going to look like the cow pat hit me in the face
Catch up later Laney keep well be nice and above all keep laughing
Cow pat with custard Freddie? It sure looked yummy whichever way you served it
No accounting for others' tastes Freddie ..... but then it becomes clearer over time. True colours come shining through
Have been catching up on the US Open and saw Sam went out in the first round. You have to wonder about retirement being on the horizon for her Freddie. Oh the shock, horror when Cornet was penalised for daring to 'disrobe' on the court ..... good to see they apologised to her.
The search has gone out, looking for the remains of the meteor ......... out near York 'they' say. Of no financial benefit to anyone finding it but definitely of geological interest.
Weather not as bad as forecast today but it is really cold so repaired to the kitchen to make some soup. Cauliflower and sweet potato ..... easy peasey and great in this weather.
Sorry to read you had a bad night Sandy and that you are back on the strong medication ......... please just try and take it easy. You need to be full bottle for your trip south - I know how you are both so looking forward to that.
Morning Laney - just back from our walkies expecting 25 deg today
the sun is only just trying to peep through - they tell us showers
retirees don't notice what day it is I see Ash Bartie
is through and 3 of the Aussie men so not doing so bad in the heat.
Mr F's rooster boys play tonight and they need to win to stay in the
running for the finals. Enjoy your week end laney -
Freddie - did I see somewhere that Mr F's team won last night?
Oh and a pinch and a punch ......... it is still before midday here.
Beautiful day too - we are heading out to do some work in the garden
I have just been enjoying Oaks lovely pics - what beautiful girls they both are
AFL footy free here this weekend - just the WAFL qualifying finals.
Enjoy whatever you are up to friends ....... catch up later
on โ01-09-2018 04:31 PM
Laney that's a very nice thing to say thank you
I hope your enjoying the 'how we met' stories
on โ02-09-2018 04:31 PM
Happy Fathers' Day to those who think it is not every day
Oaks, I never say anything I do not mean - they really were lovely.
I did enjoy the 'meeting' stories - says so much about those who told them
It is a magic day here in the wonderful west. We have been really slack though - watching the US Open - our Alex just lost a very long match against Cilic
In the meantime have been giggling here at events around the place. Deb, you particularly would be laughing given all the blame you have carried for your mastery of google all these years. Definitely a dish served and enjoyed cold
on โ03-09-2018 08:58 PM
Hi everyone,,
Laney, that meteor was exciting... I've seen small meteor showers, but nothing as big as that
some very funny things going on around the place atm.
Looking forward to Thursday night's footy here
Hi Deb
Looks like the 'meteor' caused more fallout that expected or anticipated
It has taken a while and I cannot help laughing. A win in so many ways
I see Lucy Hopman died. She was such an elegant lady with a great sense of humour and place. She was very much missed as ill health meant that she had not been back to Perth since 2014. What a great age though ..... 98!
Vale Lucy Hopman
Good luck for your Tigers on Thursday Deb (and Kopes) - are you going to the match or keeping out of the crowds and watching it on TV?
on โ04-09-2018 08:53 AM
it is funny
I'll be watching the footy on TV with the kids... unfortunately hubby is working away from home this week.. he was most upset when he realized he'll be away for that... but he'll be able to watch it on TV where he is too
