I always wanted to go to Birdsville. I flew over in a Cessna, once. Top of my bucket list is a trip to lake eyre when it's in flood.
You will have to wait a few years I suspect then - would love to have gone last year or was it the year before! When we were there it was dry, dry, dry for as far as the eye could see. It was quite eerie walking on it and easy to lose your sense of direction.
I kept turning around to make sure I could still see where we came down onto the lake from lol It really was quite unnerving as we were the only ones there at the time

The birdlife was incredible - and so incredibly noisy. We were camped not too far from the water and you sure did not need an alarm clock to wake you up!
Alaska on your bucket list - Gantheaume Point and Cape Leveque on mine (and I suspect you have already been there lol)!
Looking forward to hearing of my friend's travels when she arrives on Monday - she has just spent 14 days up there

ID love to go to top end WA again, I wonder how much it has changed since I was there. A slow drive around Tassie is also on my list... so is a history tour of Ethiopia. .. and a job on Nauru.
So many places to go!
There sure are! I am content to keep both feet on this continent these days ....... at least for now lol
