It is a lovely place to live, the house is an old farmhouse, so LOTS of work still to be done but we bought it for the location and we're a bit closer to town than before.  Don't know how I'd cope living with close neighbours now lol

Don't let the naysayers get you down girl - they obviously need someone to target in order to try and give themselves some credibility!

Not worth worrying about - see it as your community spirit coming to the fore 'helping' someone less satisfied with their lot lol

Soul it sounds like a blank canvas for you to work your magic on - and you will achieve all you want to ....... in your own good time.

We are in an old weatherboard house too and I just love the old bones of it and the sense of 'home' it seems to accord naturally.
