We had a very wild and woolly night down here last night, Laney, but no damage as far as I know, and the worst of it seems to have blown over now. I can even see a bit of sun.
Is anyone here getting excited about the Olympics? I wish I could work up a bit of enthusiasm for them, but I'm finding it harder and harder to care. The whole concept has degenerated into such a farce the cynic in me says it woud be cheaper and easier and a whole lot less stressful to build robots to do it all.

No damage here either thankfully TGSE and it seems to have passed now except for a few threatening colour patches on BOM.
Not always accurate but we used to watch with interest the approaching storms in our various areas and wait for the full reports as they passed over. At least one of us is a huge cloud and storm watcher
It is disappointing for the athletes who have worked and trained so hard for their opportunity for a day in the sun at the Olympics - as you described, it has degenerated into a farce and the IOC reminds me of FIFA, bowing to the corporate dollars and sponsorship and all other manner of strange things behind the scenes.
Doubt we will be tuning in very often - except to have a laugh with Roy and HG.

Hi girls
that sounds more like our weather in the east.. But we had a nice sunny day here today for a change. I managed to get a few things done, but not as much as I wanted. oh well, the rest can wait.. Your windy weather will be here in the next few days I think. Scary the noises outside on a windy night... Glad you're both Ok.
not terribly excited about Tbe Olympics here, will probably just watch my favourite events, the cycling and the swimmng

You know, every time I see the Aussie Olympics chief on the news I think "Kitty Chiller" OMG what a great name! Lol

Forget the Olympics ........ we are looking forward to the Hopman Cup as the Fed Express is coming to play.
Might be the last time we get to see him here in the west so not going to miss that opportunity.
Did you watch the Tour de France Deb? Our SBS here is a non-event so we didn't get to see that or the Giro d'Italia - just love the scenery.
Re the weather Deb - you know how we like to share - at least we give you a warning lol lol

All fed and watered here now.
Had totally forgotten to take the time difference into consideration and probably got back here too late
Busy day at the office tomorrow ..... hoping for it to be a bit warmer than today.
Have a good evening ladies and will catch up, hopefully tomorrow.

yes, the time difference is a thing Laney
so much for our sunny day... it came and went, but it's kind of nice to be indoors when it's raining outside

Well Deb - we got your sunny day today (such an incredible change from yesterday). Just give it a day or so and this too will be yours lol
Perfect day with high blue skies and sunshine ..... always happy to share it
A very productive day too - getting most of the paperwork done that I have been putting off because of the 'can't be bothereds'.
The wildflower season is early this year and we are going to take a few days off in the next few weeks to 'go country' and enjoy them.
Hope you had a good day and that the weather improved a bit for you
