Lovely to have time to myself this morning without having to rush off to work!
Morning Deb
Fireys did a good job last night and got the fire under control. From what I have been reading it is going to be a bad season all over the continent. The rain certainly has seen the understories powering ahead, providing so much more fuel for the summer. There has been a lot of controlled burning over here but it really it has not reduced much of the threats given they were so far behind in it.
Looking forward to lunch today - have not caught up with these friends for ages.
Enjoy your day Deb and get the troops organised - to get your tree up - so that we can enjoy your decorating skill

We have been like ships that pass in the night Deb!
Hopefully Christmas and the New Year will see me taking more time for myself. I have made a few procedural changes which should see me having a few more days off. That is my New Year's resolution anyway .... fingers crossed it all works.
Traffic building up around town already as folks do drive bys to check out the human sheep ship! It is leaving around 5pm this afternoon (thankfully).
Guess I better get a few things sorted before heading out - might catch up tonight Deb.

Laney, I'm so glad I don't see the animal movers... that would really upset me.. you know how I feel about those
the ship you've mentioned must be huge
on 08-12-2016 06:49 PM
Hi Deb
It was huge - 5000 passengers and 1500 crew. Looked just like a 'sheep-ship' .... google Ovation of the Seas!
We went down to South Mole to watch her exit the harbour when we got home from the hills .... lots of flag waving down there.
Took an early mark today - this could be habit forming
Sitting here late lunching on sushi and reading around CS. You know me Deb - I rarely post outside RTR (if ever) but take time to read Richo's thread and catch up with what is happening in Sandy's world. Feel like i have got to know Ooaks too now - what amazing, strong ladies they are! Enjoy the humour on that thread. Thanks Richo et al.
Busy morning but I achieved .... hence the early mark.
Counting down until you rally the troops to get your tree up Deb
~~~~ to you Deb and my other good Friends - MIA or not
Thank heavens for airconditioning!
37 predicted here today - around 33 right at the moment .......
Good afternoon friends
'Chilling out' in comfort catching up on Richard Fidler's conversations on RN - his interviews are fantastic.
No news to speak of - a quick trip to the office this morning due to some security issues .... all sorted now thankfully.
Any 'tree' news Deb?
Sparklz... the tree is up, but only partially decorated so far..... I'm getting there
it's a huge tree, 3 .5 M high or something like that.. one year I cheated and left out the middle section
it did look a bit odd though
