Freezing here today and last night was bitterly cold. An indoors day even though the sky is bright blue and the sun is out - its a cold brightness.
After last years finals, I take nothing for granted !aney 
odd how we often get the exact opposite weather. 30 degrees here today, most unusual for this time of year... but I am loving it

we watched the recording when we got home last night Laney...... it was good to see the Tigers of old playing that wonderful teamwork game again ( that's been missing for a couple of weeks now) and it looks like we have some exciting new players atm... everytime I heard the commentators say ""Sydney Stack"" I looked for a pile on
he was impressive... goodness knows what time we finally went to bed last night,.. 3.30 ish I think

Great news about Australia making it into a FED Cup final after so many years.
Good news eclipsed by such sad news when I read of the Father and Son from Victoria who lost their lives trying to save a tourist in the waters off the Great Ocean Road. Life seems so very unfair sometimes 
That is not to discount in any way all the other ghastly events occurring not only here in Australia but around the world but somehow it's proximity to us puts it into clearer focus.

A perfect autumn day here in the wonderful west .... our high blue skies are exceptional.
We managed to do a bit of work (and have an enjoyable lunch) in the garden, making the most of the weather.
Nics will be happy with the result of today's match - others perhaps not so much
Stayed away from the centre of town for the long weekend - there was a street festival on each day but we didn't have the get up and go to get up and go ..... didn't need the crowds.
Having a giggle here at the moment .......... friends would understand
