Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

Round Table Revisited

Deb I forgot to mention a programme on the ABC last night - Renovations Australia.

The subject was the old Gas Works in Macauley Street North Melbourne right opposite the Kangas ground.  It looked promising with some wonderful heritage features!  Sadly, the results were ghastly to me at least - it looked like an architect's flight of fancy .  Would be interested to hear what you think of the end result.

I happened to watch that Laney and I was horrified by what they did to that beautiful big room..

I absolutely hated that stainless steel curtain and "pod" thing... if it were mine I would've partioned it into whatever rooms were needed and maybe used a mezzanine floor for bedrooms

not only that, the entrance hall was only half a window wide... why not use the whole window and show it off for the feature it was

I could not 'get' the idea of that pod thing with all those steel straps too Deb - the whole thing was just ghastly.

They ruined the whole feel of the place in my opinion - a real nightmare!

I agree.

That pod thing was stupid.

They partitioned off that lovely big space into tiny hall and stairways.

That big bookshelf was ridiculous, and the whole lounge area was a mish-mash of no style.

I didn't like the courtyard either, with those scattered areas of stone and trees.
