MP's mistress "enjoyed the people's money"
The mistress of the Queensland LNP MP says they had sex in state parliament numerous times and went on official trips with him at the taxpayer's expense.
The mistress of a Queensland MP who was caught with his **bleep** in a wine glass says she "enjoyed the people's money" when they went on official trips together.
Ethics Committee chairman and Liberal National Party MP Peter Dowling was outed on Monday for having an extramarital affair and texting his mistress pornographic photos.
Mr Dowling has also been accused of taking advantage of parliamentary trips to meet his mistress, who has not been named, in locations as diverse as Perth and New Zealand.
His mistress says all those allegations are true.
"I enjoyed the people's money too when I stayed in the hotel rooms," she told Nine Network.
"I enjoyed the perks of the Australian taxpayers because I was in the hotels with him."
She also said they had sex in Mr Dowling's Redlands electorate office, and even in Parliament House, on numerous occasions.
"I would go and visit Parliament House and we'd go to his office," she said.
"And have sex, yes.
"Twice I stayed overnight in Parliament House."
His mistress thought that she had a future with Mr Dowling, but said she now understands the serious consequences of their affair.
Mr Dowling has stood down from the Ethics Committee while the matter is being investigated.
He apologised to staff, the government, his wife of more than 25 years and two children.
"I am sorry for the pain and embarrassment I caused you," he said.
"I am not proud of the events plastered all over today's paper and I cannot and will not defend any part of it."
The clerk of the parliament is investigating if the MP complied with parliamentary expenditure guidelines and will consider if the matter needs to be referred to the ethics committee and the Crime and Misconduct Commission.

there's something funny about his 'mistress' her statement sounds scripted, the way she repeated 'the peoples money' is the clue.
its designed to cause political as well as personal damage.

"Oh come on monman - doesn't matter which side of politics he's on his actions are just sleazy. You have to admit that surely?"
I have not said otherwise e.g.: "So what NAE? A waste of red wine, or perhaps, thinking of Thompson, it was a little tart!."
DY: "Or your norti son? Now where is that pic"
Why is Bads "norti"?, it was the "unhappy" spurned Pink lady who posted the photograph, a little like the "unhappy" one in this matter. Bads thought the whole thing a hoot, so did I.
FG: "Definately sleazy and comes as no surprise ro me that monman cant see it.... Sleaze FG is in the mind of the beholder.
Apropos your "Tony Abbott -February 2010 or 1978, whatever .....zebras dont change stripes anyway "
Let me educate you FG, it was definitely in Abbott's student days in 1978 (ask DY), and you are wrong, because zebra foals have brown and white stripes, which later change to black and white stripes, like the parents.
LL: "its the fact that the lnp slipper clone placed his marital tackle in the fruit of the grape and posted the selfie to his friend i find unusual."
INAM: "I want to know why the heck he is putting his doodoo in a glass of red wine?"
Marinade memories ladies, and some more travel is indicated!
