The people of Australia are trying to help and save the company whilst the government don't give a **bleep** about SPC so we are telling Abbott and his possy to shove it where it fits.

did you read the article?

sales have been increasing since mid last year...........about the same time the dollar started falling.

mrgizz, so............but they have increased significantly more recently, those 3 LNP galah's were caught lying outright about the SPC workers while denying the company a measly 25million, after publicly stating that they believe Aus can be a world leader in the food industry and compete internationally, for purely ideological reasons they refused assistance.

I don't use the self scans.......they cost checkouts their job.

I am constantly 'invited' to use them.....I say no thanks, one day these will cost you your job.

All this talk about CCA being owned by Coca Cola is less than a half truth, or 71% a lie.

Coca Cola own 29% of the Australian company Coca Cola Amitil, which owns SPC Ardmona.

It's not the OS based coca cola company asking our govt for money to further increase their profits.

I do the same with my Bank withdrawls. The Teller tells me it is cheaper if I use the ATM, but I tell her that if I want to save 50cents it may cost her her job in the long run.

This and buying Australian as much as I can is my way of donating to the charity of our future.

I can not buy a Holden or Toyota car, but a few cents here and there don't really hurt me and perhaps help to keep some jobs in Australia.

CCA gave it's shareholders a bonus last year.... why didn't they keep the "bonus" and put it towards the upgrade?

catmad, shareholders invest their money to make a profit. If they don't get a profit one year, they will sel their shares and invest elsewhere. Then the company is in bigger strife financially.

The company did propose to inject a very large anount of money into SPC if the Government added a small amount as well.

By the look of it, the people of Australia will help to save all those jobs without the head of the Monastery and his monk-s.

It's good to see the public showing how they feel about it. We have a few tins of SPC fruit in the pantry & I also refuse to use the self scanners at the supermarkets, would much rather see people in jobs.
