On the day after Jesus' death, the women find Jesus' tomb empty
This puzzles me.
Why is this less probable? The body was stolen?
So everyone knew or can know where the body was buried, they can easily steal it regardless of whether there're guards guarding it. It's also not unheard of for guards to be bribed. These are all things that can naturally happen and explain things without appealing to "Jesus rose from the dead"
I have lost socks before in the washing machine, certain I've put 2 in the wash. I was guarding it and it still disappeared. Did my sock disappear and later rise from the dead?
Another thing is, let's assume the story is true. If the followers actually believed in the Messiah and he rose from the dead. It makes perfect sense they'll crowd around where he rose from the dead and have worship and praying outside the tomb from then onwards up to this day. His tomb location wouldn't be a mystery but a place of worship even from the first century. There was no report of this happening. This was never the case.

sorry ima bit agnosticish but isnt the whole shebang based on belief not facts? - shirly you could take the odd disappearance as a miracle?
Otherwise religion may not be for you?
Perhaps the church of the flying spaghetti monster at the very least? 🙂

This is the most important event in the Bible, because without it, He was just executed. Either people have faith that it happened, or they don't. It's really that simple IMO.

@imastawkawrote:Nah, sorry, Bob.
The women went on the Sunday morning to annoint the body, but the tomb was empty.
They wouldn't have gone on the Saturday, cos it was Shabbat, and no-one works on that day.
Sorry Bob. My bad.
Today is Saturday!
I got thrown there for a minute.
