Scented Sheets Are So Nice

Does anyone else store their soap in their linen press?

No?

Well I don't either, seeing as I use liquid handwash in the pump pack these days.

But my Mother used to. She'd always store her scented soap with her linen. Which scented her linen.

A while ago I stored some lavender candle melts with my linen which I just now put on my bed.

Making it up, the faint scent of lavender on my sheets was so nice, especially my Christmas linen. Green doona cover (for the Christmas tree) and white sheets (for the snow).

Note to  self: get pine-scented candle melts next year.

True, but I don't use garbage bags and I wouldnt rush out and buy them just for drawer liners. I recycle my shopping and produce bags for bin liners. They've already got germs on them from the spit and lick, so might as well.

But not a bad idea there, K_N, I wouldn't rubbish it altogether. Woman Very Happy

I'm going out, be back later in arvo.

Mine just happens to be handy:

Buy some acid-free paper from the newsagency.  Acid-free paper will prevent yellowing in clothes. Fill a spray bottle with warm water, add 1 tea bag and leave for 3 minutes.  Remove the tea bag and add a couple of drops of oil of cloves and some of your favourite perfume, then spray over the paper. This mixture is particularly good for winter woollens and the tannins from the tea help prevent dust mites,  Allow the paper to dry, then cut it to size and place it in your drawers.  Replace them once a year.

Icy, lavender scent will help you go to sleep.

I store all my little guest soaps, that I was given in boxes as gifts, in the linnen cupboard. Every year Xmas, Birthday and Mothers Day, I finish up with at least two or three toiletry gift packs.

What else does one do with tiny cakes of soap?

it is said that soap can be used to clean your body although some people prefer to cover up their body smell with perfume or deodorant. contrary to common belief deodorant and perfume are not substitutes for cleaning the body (with said soap).

i have contemplated to carry a ten pack of small soaps with me so i can hand them out to people who do not know about soap. now thinking about it i would need to add a little note explaining how, when and why to use soap.
