Apologies if this has already been posted, I did have a quick look and could not see another thread about it.
I was browsing news.com.au this morning as I do to catch up with current events and I saw this article with regards to the interview on the Sunday Night program with Mercedes Corby.
At the time I thought it was a sneaky way of circumventing the 'no interview' rule imposed by Schappelle's parole team/Balinese Justice system.
Seems like she could now be in trouble because of her sisters big mouth and eagerness to flaunt Schappelle's first days of freedom to television cameras.
Part of the article:
THE Corby family’s underwhelming Sunday Night interview could see the newly released Schapelle Corby sent back to jail.
An angry Indonesian Justice Minister Amir Syamsuddin said late last night there was a chance Corby’s parole will be reviewed as a result of the Seven Network’s program on Schapelle.
“I am still waiting for complete reports from the Bali Correction Board. But for now, I can say that there is a possibility that I will review the Corby’s parole,” Mr Syamsuddin said at his Jakarta office.
The minister was so annoyed about the turn of events since Corby’s release from jail that he didn’t even wait for questions from the reporters gathered at his office last night.
He immediately made a statement that Corby could see herself back in jail.
Mr Syamsuddin said he would wait for a complete report from the Bali parole board about the program and its content before making a decision.

It is speculation not based on any facts.
Schapelle is out on parole now, with conditions, one of them no paid interviews etc.
Post 4 didn't claim any money changed hands. They did say Ch7 paid for accom at the luxury villas.

That's why I speculated that they were probably paid in kind.
All the posts here are speculations. So what?
Post 4 didn't claim any money changed hands.
Neither did I.

So what? they (Mercedes, Schapelle) may have taken part in that TV interview for NO payment of any kind.. no cash, no paid in kind.. that is what.

So you and others can speculate, but I can't?

CH 7 said they didn't pay them. For me or anyone else to repeat that is not speculation.
Sunday Night did negotiate exclusive access to Corby after she was released on parole, but a spokeswoman for the program has said that, “There’s no interview with Schapelle, and no payment was made.”

So did she pay for her own stay at the luxury villa?

see post 21.
The payment of the villa's wasn't conditional on being given a exclusive interview with Schapelle. It was done so they could keep her and her family away from other media outlets/offers.

So my speculation was correct.

Why people defend convicted drug smugglers is beyond me.
They were warned not to do the interview.
But they and channel 7 thought they were smarter and could whatever they wanted to.
If she goes back to jail, will channel 7 then be able to show the full interview?
Didnt watch the interview or the tv movie.

I'm going to make a grim prediction. I dont think she'll survive untill 2017 in Bali. I wouldn't be surprised if she was to get assassinated. Not that I'm hoping or wanting this to happen. I just think they should keep a low profile until she is allowed to come home.
