Liao also proposes genetically engineering future humans to be smaller in stature, to make them more energy-efficient. Another wild idea recommends genetically engineering superhumans with cat eyes, so that less lighting is needed to see at night. That's right: cat eyes!

I guess this is where the government should be spending it's climate change research money.

You do realise what 'philosophy' is and that you are not suppose to take these people seriously?

Taking philosphy is akin to an arts degree.

i already know who our local fraud squad is, but boy.. he didnt half look and sound a neo-plonker on the show .  the IPA is one of these fake think -tanks ..they rank somewhere behind the Ponds Institute credibility -wise. he admitted Gina was pulling his strings the poor sod. i wonder if he knows how to be his own man or simply chooses the grovel default. Rinehart has been open about her intentions to influence Australia's policy settings. You can laugh about her bad poetry, but when it comes to changing Australia's immigration, taxation and environmental policies, she's deadly serious. Rinehart appears to have used her seat on the board of Network Ten, for instance, to push the news values of that network in a more right-wing direction, and she gives every indication of wanting to do the same should she win a seat at Fairfax Media.

Rinehart's political influence extends in other ways. She is a keen enthusiast for the development of northern Australia, a policy which the Coalition appears to be seriously considering. The think-tank behind the northern push, Australians for Northern Development...Monday night's Q&A these policy ideas got several minutes of free ABC airtime from the Institute of ...

Australian weekend, UK Telegraph, US story. I love weekends, a cosmopolitan outlook, in a global village, well more USA focused!

"Conservative billionaires contributing  $120mUSD (£77m) to more than 100 groups....The funds, doled out between 2002 and 2010....."

"building a vast network of climate denial thinktanks", Oh gosh 100+ is vast? so basic maths and even more basic averages present us with: $150,000 per group per year.
Fromm LL's link:-
"there will be a lot of late nights for the people behind this massive new funding machine"

"massive new funding machine" "a vast network"

What adjectives could possibly be applied to these "funding machines"? :

"Barack Obama's re-election funds drive has grossed more than $1bn, with Republican challenger Mitt Romney and his party allies raising more....."

PS
if you wish to read the original article that the other links hav "sponged", go here (remembering it is Greenpeace)  That is after you have finished dissin Gina et al !
