Do you think it is about time eBay had a close look at "Report Button Abuse"?
Some posts that have 'earned' slaps have been for smilies, words like, ..it, common denominator, maturity, Ranga, befuddlement...... and the list goes on and on.
I am sure everyone can add a few of there own that have been slapped, not because they violated board policy but because someone was bored and thought it was "fun" to press the button.

I think that the button pusher should be named..
This would cut out 90% of the malicious PBs who hide behind anonymity..

It is not a campaign against eBay or any of it's services, regardless how you try to make it seem that way.
I fact it is just to highlight the inequality and the disadvantage that some worthwhile posters are under.
Many posters have been "put to the sword" as a result of the malicious mass reporting by one group or another.
In a lot of cases those groups are not even active buyers or sellers and hide behind either marking their feedback private (in most of those cases the feedback is 0) or they just acquire the minimum so that they are able to have more than 10 posts a day.
I agree with this. The malicious & vindictive reporting of some, the mobbing one poster with numerous reports to shut them down.
It's a way of censorship that favours the reporter to the disadvantage of the reported thus getting a secret pleasure when that posters posts have been removed.
I would like to see the report button removed altogether to stop these spiteful actions.
