After reading another topic here, I spent the last few days reflecting on what I said or how I said it that gave people the wrong idea about me.

Policewoman Bashed By Man Booted From Pub - icyfroth

icyfroth-
A crowd of more than 50 people has attacked WA police and their vehicle after a man was arrested for attacking a female officer. The man had been kicked out of the Pingelly Hotel, in Pingelly, in regional WA, at 1.10am on New Year's Day when he yelled at police officers and was arrested. He grabbed a female officer by the hair, hitting her head against the ground, and punching her in the head. Officers tried using a stun gun on the man but when it had no effect, they sprayed him with capsicum spray before putting him in the back of a police van. As they did so, a crowd of 50-60 people attacked the van and officers from Brookton Police Station, who had come to help, with rocks. The man was taken to Narrogin Police Station and will be interviewed once he has sobered up. At least three police officers were hurt, with the female police officer taken to Narrogin Hospital. The police van was badly dented and its windows smashed.

oh no doubt and about the injustice of kicking a man out of a pub,
tasering, capsicum spray etc. Police brutality etc, her own fault etc.

Wonder what Joanie will make of this? Probably, the officers antagonized the partygoers - long before any violence occurred, prompting the partygoer to defend his rights as a fine, upstanding, innocent citizen, after having being oppressed by the cruel and tyrannical police officers - who naturally, were on the prowl, just looking for a chance to exert their power! They're all the same, these police officers. All around the world, looking for and instigating trouble with perfectly innocent bystanders - none of whom have ever done anything wrong in their lives...just victims of the cruel police state - eh, Joanie? Yeah. Right.

I know the pub, my father owns it. I know the female officer she is an aggressive woman who should not be a police officer. Last Nye she came into the hotel hassling my father about trading after 12am. He has a license to do so. She was rude and mouthing off to him. She was there for 10 minutes and had her hand on her gun the whole time. I was there and she was very aggressive towards me as well. There have been alot of incidents like this. Numerous complaints have been made to the Police department about her and another officer and their harassment of the local people that drink there and they both stayed away for a long time. The man who is alleged to have attacked her claims she was aggressive towards him as he left and there witnesses to it. He did not smash her head several times.
The story is not what the media and the police are claiming and the truth will come out.

She sure will. But this woman officer is not a nice person how she passed the psychological test to become an officer
has a lot of people scratching there heads.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, i admit that I don't see how a cop's safety could possibly be more valuable than countless lives. I don't think that a bunch of people should have to be killed and or jailed to make one or more police alittle safer. I fail to understand whi it is that if a cop dies in the line of duty, they are a hero. Yet, if a factory worker falls into a machine, they are an idiot. Bassically, I don't place a cop's life, status, or entitlement above anyone else, If I think that cops should die, then I think that anyone who is not a cop should as well.

I wish anyone can point out where I endorse or condone harm or violence on any cop or police in general. I only said that there's far too much harm and violence coming from the police, sheriffs, cops, against some others. Not everyone, otherwise there would be alot more people here agreeing with me that the problem exists, a problem I have tried to bring out into the open.

Maybe corruption, and sadistic patterns of abusing a select few who make the police "you know what" list is a dirty little secret that many here want to sweep under the rug and not discuss. I doubt those would be the ones who were affected by it though.

? ? ? ? ? ?

Now my question, all i'm looking for is a yes, no, or undecided.. Three possible answers. Who reading this thinks I wish harm or violence against police officers, be it city police, county police (sheriffs) or state police (highway patrol) or rejoice when I hear or read of a case of it? ? ? ?  . .

I post other topics, documentary disscussions, one about video games recently, they useally go un noticed and fall off while the examples of corruption get many replies, and many just taking shots at me.

BTW- I got the sarcasam. and could easally top it with my own to the quantrary. But thats not why I posted this. You who think I like finding examples that prove my point are wrong. I do not take joy that people suffer and sometimes die so I can show you all that there's some serious problems in the world, any related to how we see police and police types. Those who think I take pleasure in it, are the same ones who pick up on the fact that I am so unhappy. How does that make any sense? I should be on top of the world, look at all the links I post.

Now I have to decide if i'm going to hit that post button. Or if i'm going to continue to let this eat at me. I hate always being accused of things, everytime something near me happends, I drive myself into a headache like the one I have now, believeing I will get the blame. If not for what happened last night with the alarms going off and a window being smashed out, I would not click post. but here it goes. The only reason I didn't get the blame for that is I'm guessing the police who responded didn't see me or know I was there.

It isn't necessarily true that you have given the others the wrong idea, others simply choose to brand others as this or that. Without reading what you write sometimes people just interpret it incorrectly and play games with you. Sadly comprehension is lacking in many.

From some of the posts I have read of yours you simply seem to view people as equal. I could be wrong though 🙂

Joanie...thank you for at least seeing and recognising the issue for what it is.

Whilst I, and I believe many others, don't believe that you actually wish harm to any serving law enforcement officers, it's just that to others, you seem fixated on the subject - almost to distraction. True, many of us don't see your other posts, but due to the consistency and regularity of these posts attacking authority figures, they're the ones we'll focus on.

Naturally, those posts are going to attract a lot of attention - many of us know, and regard as frends, police officers who go out of their way to 'serve and protect'. It's not as if the police have a monopoly on violence and abuse!

Yes, there are police and law  enforcement officers who are corrupt, and there are those who use their positions to carry out violence and intimidate, but I'll guarantee that they are in the minority - as with any profession in which power has the ability to corrupt.

I trained security officers for a number of years, and some were truly horrible persons - and I did my best to move them out of the industry.

There's an old saying...'power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.'

There are many, many others areas of society wherein those in authority abuse their position and privelege to intimidate others, Catholic Priests just for one...but these don't get an airing from you - just the corrupt police.

Whilst I recognise the fact that you wish to highlight their crimes and unlawful tactics, to others, it smacks of persecution of the forces, and one person's opinion, (no matter whether justified or unjustified,) will not sway the general population, as we portray the police in a different light.

To most of us who don't wish to confront criminals or attend fires, horrific accidents, terrorist attacks - then yes - they are heroes!

I respectfully disagree with that statement. Police have a monopoly on many things, that being near the top if not at the top of the list. But thanks for at least not thinking I would wish harm to them. Reading all that in the topic really threw me for a loop.

I expect they will be at this shelter durring my stay, too much happends here that would bring them out, and before you ask, Yes, i'm keeping my nose clean. I have a warm place to sleep and thats a blessing, but I won't be able to handle police showing up, and couldn't stand going back to that freezing cold holding cell.

I agree. A couple of people aren't indicative of all posters here.

Others shouldn't be bringing your ID into their posts in a mocking way, especially if you haven't even posted in the thread before they make those comments

Some people agree on some things some people never agree just because of who they are.

The bottom line is that not everyone will always agree all the time with every thing.

Having a difference of opinion means nothing really.

There is one person that doesn't post here these days, still on FB, we agree on many things but there is one subject that we are a million miles away from and it gets very heated at times, strangely enough we are still friends and just  ignore each others posts on that topic.

joanie don't let it get to you.

this is a topic you are obviously very passionate about, you have experienced first handsome of the injustices you post of, most here have never had anything close to such experiences so will dismiss it and scoff and say give it a rest rather than just scroll on by - that is just human nature.

I read those posts you quoted and just rolled my eyes and scrolled on by.

anyone with comprehension skills can see you don't wish harm on police.

Yes, I agree Am. I have to say I was disappointed at the time and thought the comments could be hurtful.
I felt like screaming 'she can hear you, you know'
Thick skin helps but I did think the comments were unwarranted and a bit mean.
