Seven Year Switch

Not one to watch reality shows, Australia's Seven Year Switch is the first. I've watched all episodes direct (Offspring is on at the same time on another channel so catch up with that the next night on my desktop Apple Mac) & last night, I really felt for Ryan.

Returning home after two weeks apart to his loved one, Cassie, Ryan was given the cold shoulder from start to finish all because of the harmless comment he made to Cassie about his 'experiemental partner': 'she's pretty'. Ryan did not say not say he wanted to jump Michelle's (experimental partner) bones, or that he was even attracted to her. It was a mere observation yet Caasie's insecurities have sent her unjust jealousy into over-drive. With a bouquet of flowers, Ryan was itching to get home to Cassie yet all she did was scowl at him about Michelle. It's so obvious Ryan loves Cassie but like me, Ryan was gobsmacked by Cassie's behaviour. I really don't know what the ungrateful girl's problem is.

As for Brad & Jackie, her reaction to Brad's tiny double dice tattoo was over the top but he badly needs to grow up so for her own sanity, control-freak Jackie is probably better off without man-child Brad anyway. Dunno know about Michelle either, who complains about her husband Jason spending too much time at work. I'm hoping the business he's set up is so new, it was set up only weeks ago because Michelle should know that it takes at least a couple of years before any returns are made from a newly established business. The way Michelle talks at Jason, she's certainly arrogant enough to know that. Like Ryan, Jason's such a nice guy as well so i'm dreading next week's final.

So is anyone else watching the programme???

That was "last season" here. Lucky I read your second post because I was about to throw in some spoilers! Although if the foot tattoo has become an issue, you're nearly at the end anyway. Like you, I don't normally watch any reality shows, apart from Masterchef, but I did watch that when it was on.

As for Offspring, I really only got into that towards the end of the last season. Then I heard it was going to be axed and thought, oh well. Then the current series came out, so during my 3 months off work (which I've only got 1 week left), I started at episode 1 and watched the whole lot! Now the latest series is finished I have no idea what to watch next. That said, by the time I get back to work I won't have a lot of time to be watching entire series of shows.

It was something to do with funding. Shows are subsidised for 6 years, then the funding stops, so they let the shows die. Something like that anway. The producers took a gamble to self fund and it paid off, so hopefully they'll keep it going a bit longer.
