For all those who keep repeating that Prime Minister Gillard has not been the target of sexist attacks since she won the last election battle what do you call today's events?
First the Army.
Then the Tim is gay attack on Gillard.
Are you really ready to accept these behaviours as the norm for your daughters and sons?

I saw an interview with the Dalai Lama this morning.
He was asked if there was a possibility of there being a female Dalai Lama. He answered that if there was a female Dalai Lama, she would need to be very attractive, otherwise, not much use.
Now, I know he was joking but at the same time I was thinking, I wonder how many women would be offended by that. Even Karl Stefanovic who interviewed said - you cant say that 😮

Umm. Post number 54.
Rabbit says I shouldn't be offended and that I should take being whistled at at work as a complement and as sign on my "worth".
Your response: "that's exactly what I was thinking!!"
Where did he say you should take being whistled at work as a compliment?

tibetan cultural practices are kind of irrelevant, one would expect more from a first world leader ?

Did you not even read what you were agreeing with meep? I don't understand why I have repeat something from only a few posts ago. ?:|
After I provided my experience of being wolf whistled and worse when walking on to my building sites, rabbit says: Why would you as a woman be offended if you got a wolf-whistle? Wouldn't you think it a compliment. Are you not still worth a wolf-whistle?
You responded: "that's exactly what I was thinking!!"

How can you measure a anyone's worth by wolf whistles?
Do we measure people's worth on the size of their plumbers crack?

From an autobiography:
"Thatcher, who while never denying her womanhood appeared to stride past it"
An antipodean comment which Gillard would do well to emulate

Martini, initially, you did not say the building site was your place of employment. Rabbit never said you should take being whistled at work as compliment and as sign of your "worth".
you have a tendency of misrepresenting poster's comments.
And the fact is, there are women who do not get offended by being whistled at while walking past a construction site.

I agree, she bypassed it for the most part 🙂
