She Never Really Stood a Chance Did She ?

Been reflecting over the last few days about the state of affairs in this country.

From the moment Ms Gillard took the Prime Ministership away from the clutches of Mr Abbott she was doomed to fail. No matter how much she achieved she was never going to be allowed to govern .

All the while we were guided through the Global Financial Crisis, made the nation and it's economics the envy of the world. AAA credit ratings. Hundreds of pieces of legislation passed through the house. Apologising to the Stolen Generation  NDIS, NBN, Gonski reforms, and the list of achievements goes on.

Of course there were some concerns along the way within the Labor Party, but I was prepared to give the government the benefit of the doubt until these concerns were dealt with, with due process. Because I believe the government have the nations interest at heart.

It was all for naught with the destructive, negative, belligerent Liberal Party and the Murdoch owned papers with it's mouthpieces like Bolt, Hadlee, Jones, Akerman. The nastiest, hate filled propaganda flooding the internet every hour of every day.

I fear for this nation for what it's about to receive as the alternative. An arrogant aggressive man and a front bench that defies belief.

I hope when the Liberal Party instil their AUSTERITY measures we don't end up like some nations in Europe who thought AUSTERITY measures were the correct path to take.

A hung parliament was never going to work anyway. Any government would have had problems implementing any new policies.

And she is trying to do it in the most toxic political environment that I can recall.

You are correct Yoda.

JOOLYA!! never had a chance, from the moment she was picked as the figure head by the Labor Powerbrokers to be the softer look and feel of the iron grip of the Militant Unions and the shonky members of the Labor party. Then she opened her mouth and that sealed her fate once and for all "There will be no tax under the government I lead" she uttered knowing full well that the only was to retain power was to pander to the Greens fanatic demands.

An then power went to her head, the perverse nature inherent in her system and sheer arrogance that she would rather see everything shattered than to give an inch for the good of the people that she represented clouded any slight bit of judgement that she may have possessed many years ago.

JOOLYA!! has the ball welded to one gnarled, clawed fist and the other taloned fist has a firm death grip on the bat.

There she crouches behind her new protectively glasses, bat raised in menacing fashion hissing "Be Gonski!!" And there are the militant Unions, they "Have her Back".

The labor caucus with head firmly lodged in the sand or some other dark place will blindly follow as they go over the edge of the cliff to political oblivion.

But what of the true believer in the Labor ethos will they forgive this bunch?

I think she would have been fine if she didn't lie to the people and bungle so many policies.

I am pig sick of hearing how Wayne Swann guided us through the GFC with his fantastic management. None of this "management" would have been possible without the huge surplus left by the Liberal Howard government.

the lyin' liberal howard government.

two things, off the top of the ol' noggin,

howard:   GST would never become part of Liberal Party policy

abbott in 2002, in the then howard government:  Compulsory paid maternity leave: over this Government’s dead body, frankly. It just won’t happen

tony abbott's on-record comments, that call into question the goon's credibility:
