I DO suspect that some of the comments being made re farming practices, are being made by someone who doesnt live in a farming area or ( perhaps ) has never been on a farm

Au takes in far more refugees than many other countries bty this family are Tamil, they NOT from Iraq
Actually, that is total rubbish. Australia took in about 11 thousand one year and less after that; Europe took in millions few year ago, and are still taking more. Countries like Lebanon, Turkey and Jordan have also millions of refugees from Iraq and Syria. In Lebanon something like 20% of their population are refugees. Nobody knows how many refugees went to Saudi Arabia or Kuwait or Arab Emirates because they did not put them in camps, they just let them to live in the society and nobody was counting; many came to join relatives already living and working in these countries.
And yes, I know this family are not from the middle east; the situation in Sri Lanka and Afghanistan is still very dangerous, and people deported back to these countries are often singled out and killed.

Actually what is RUBBISH, in Au bringing in more and more people where we can support the ones we have have here already

Maybe consider that, if Australia, in alliance with the US, and the UK would stop bombing Middle Eastern countries to smithereens and creating refugees, the pressure of taking in refugees would be lessened?

Why does the gov need 100 staff to keep this place open?
If they are allowed to stay, one condition needs to be that they pay back EVERY cent they have cost the Au taxpayer

Yoy lost me there big time. They were living peaceful productive lives before they were imprisoned. Scott Morrison and the potato should have their pay docked.
