the blue seems to be the one usual in Afghanistan, so it might be different for different countries or tribes, or social standing.
You are right.
Caption with this says Afghanistan

In 2011, Carnita Matthews of Sydney was sentenced to six months jail for making a statement accusing a police officer of attempting to forcibly lift her niqaab, which news sources initially referred to incorrectly as a burqa

@nero_wulf wrote:Questions, how does a child know who their mother is in this crowd if they get seperated?
How does a husband know who their wife is when they all look like this?
There are many ways. To start with the burqas often have different lace/netting over the face, some of the black material has a woven pattern like damask, then people are different height, different build, different shape; they move in different way. They wear different shoes, and then there are hands, and jewellery. Rings, bracelets. I am sure that kid can spot this mum, and man his wife from distance.

I think it very pretty blue, and you have different materials, and lace inserts 🙂 But underneath they can wear anything they want.

"I have to say, we have a business in an area that has a substantial Muslim population, not all of them wear any kind of head covering but I have never seen anyone wearing the Burqua.
Interesting that on Q and A, it was said that no one wears it in Australia."
Well whoever it was that said that on Q and A, clearly does not visit the suburb one over from me.
Here is some facts on where i live.
The suburb next to me was mostly housing commission houses that have started to be sold off. The housing commission house is knocked down and 1 - 4 townhouses are built on the block. The townhouses are mostly all rentals
The Primary school became an Intensive English learning school 3 years ago. It stated with 3 classes and now has 8 classes.
The area now has a very large population of Muslims living in it.
The woman DO wear Burqas, Niqabs and Hijabs. I would estimate about 80% wear the Niqab, 15% wear the Hijab and 5% wear the full Burqa
The school has now stopped holding its annual Christmas Concert
The No Parking signs around the school and kindy are ignored by the Muslim families.
The young Muslim boys are disrespectful to the young Aussie boys and girls

This case may not be the best to cite.
“A magistrate last year found her guilty of making a deliberately false statement and sentenced her to jail for six months. Ms Matthews appealed, saying there was no proof she was the person in the burqa making the statement and Judge Clive Jeffreys in the District Court yesterday upheld her appeal.”
That is she was able to beat the wrap on apeal because, as the person who lodged the Stat dec was wearing a burqua, it could not be proved beyond a reasonable doubt, that that person was MS Matthews.

The woman who said that is an Australian muslim and a counter terrorism expert.

You should contact her and tell her................perhaps she should visit that suburb. I see lots of disagreements on a local fb page about parking etc at schools, not Muslim related, just angry, rude mummy types, lol.

she wasn't wearing a burqa, as my post above says. Same woman.

Why should secular public school be holding Christmas Concert = re-enactment of birth of Jesus = religious .
In any case, Australian Christmas has nothing to do with all that anymore; it is all about consumerism.
