fgs Deb.
We have commenced military action in Iraq against Muslim radicals ISIL/ISIS there, which are running around killing Christians and beheading western ppl.
There are cells of this radical group throughout Australia. Indeed they have been intercepted by Federal Police in planning a beheading of a random person in Sydney... 'alleged'
You think such a person could not disguise themselves and conceal a knife under a burqa in order to carry out such an execution?
Burqas are seen fairly regularly in Sydney, you know.

Why would a person need to wear a burqa to do that?? A person can hide a knife (large) in their socks under long pants.
Did they young man that attacked the police in Melbourne recently turn up in a burqa?
Did the males that beheaded a soldier on the street in the UK wear a burqa?
No, the above didn't.
A person doesn't need to wear a burqa to be able to attack and kill a random person in public.

All you women on here who defend the burqa and what it represents have forfeited their right to any feminist argument in the future imo.
What you see is what you want to see and nothing more. Who are you to judge that people are condemning our western culture or defending stone age customs?
No, what you see are people that don't like the great divide that our pathetic little government and the white neo libs are foisting upon us with all this dribble about women in burqas being a national security risk. Most of the people peddling that **bleep** don't give a toss about women's rights or arab types.
It is not your place to judge that anyone has forfeited their rights to any feminist argument, ever.
It's not about women in burqas being a security risk.
It's about THE BURQA worn as a concealing garment being a security risk. there's a difference.
gotta go BBL

so, we'll wait until the first / second / third suicide bomb goes off to make the rule? OK then.
So now we suspect helmet wearers for potential terrorists too do we?
But seriously, what rule? We ALREADY have laws about identification of burqa clad women in some states.
But I am wondering what to do with all the full faced hipsters I see in Surry Hills every day? They wear their beards so long and bushy that I can only see their eyes...Those pesky hipsters dare to wear their faces so covered up that I can't even see their facial expressions. Dear oh dear...

@daydream**believer wrote:Women Cloth Questions | Iran Women Cloth FAQ
Q. How should a woman traveller dress when visiting a Muslim country??
A. Muslim women usually wear long and loose clothing, sometimes covering their head and face, as part of their religious beliefs. Although western women are not expected to dress likewise, women travelling in Muslim countries should dress conservatively as a mark of respect for the host country's religion, customs and beliefs.
Q. How conservatively should I dress?
A. In all Muslim countries, except for Iran where there are laws that dictate that foreign women have to be covered up, it is really up to the individual. But as a guideline, your legs and arms should be covered with loose, non-hugging clothing e.g. trousers, long skirts, long sleeved t-shirts or shirts especially when visiting non-Western areas. If you are staying in a large hotel with many westerners it will acceptable to wear your ordinary clothes, and you'll be able to swim in a swimming costume (preferably not a bikini) around the pool. Rules are often more rigid in mosques and holy places. You will not be allowed to enter if you are not dressed appropriately.
So? What is your point?
The same rules apply in the Vatican. Does that mean Catholicism is a terrorist religion or that the women are treated medievally?

Does anyone know if there was truth to a Queensland town banning christmas lights because muslims in the street won a decision based on "christians should practice their religion indoors and not in public" ?
Or is it just one of those BS circulating emails?
BS.
