The above pic of people dressed in the niqab, unsure if they are male or female. This dress is not suitable to our
Australian way of life and our culture. I've seen people dressed like this at the beach at Brighten Le Sands, NSW in the middle of summer. It should be banned in all public places IMO.

How about posting a photo of Australian Muslim women dressed in niqab's in 2014?. On the beach would be good, 5 women all dressed the same sitting in a row.

now, feel free to talk amongst yourselves ... I am off for a nap.
Of course, as a man you assume it's your right to judge women.

Ricketts??? the women do go outside without it, at home.
Yes, any excuse to attack women will do for some people.

So some here think that because a woman wears a burqa or Nisan they pose more of a threat than anyone else?
you are missing the point (as are many others on here) - I am not saying a woman in a burqa is going to do anything - what I am saying is it would be easier for a terrorist to gain access to an area - if the man disguises himself as a woman in a burqa.

Whilst many use the excuse that the burqa subjugates women, they also want to curtail a muslim womans freedom to dress as they please.
Can anyone see the irony here? Anyone?

You think?
So few women wear the burqa in this country that I suspect that all will be eyeing burqa wearer with suspicion and fear.
You'd have to be a pretty dumb terrorist to wear a burqa in Australia to carry out any heinous act.

I really think everyone needs to chill out.
The burqa looks unlikely to be banned in Australia.
However, it remains a garment of concealment and as such can be used in a terrorist attack. Not necessarily by women.
It also remains traditionallyl and historically a garment of oppression of Muslim men who require their (and other) women to be covered from head to food in order not to incited lustful urges in other men.
If modern muslim women choose to wear the burqa, hijab or niqab, even though they're not constrained do so, their choice should be respected.

I am going to start my own religion whose dress code is ballaclaver and bullet-proof vest - anyone want to join.
