Skype on mobile phones question....

if you are going to talk to someone, why not just use your mobile phone to talk to them? if you need video, its probably a personal choice as to which one best suits your needs. try them until you find one that you like.

My daughter is going overseas, the children are staying with me. This way they can see and talk to her while she's away.

Just get Skype.  I have it on my phone and have used it a couple of times with minimal hassle..

Twink, skype is a great way to communicate with someone overseas. The best way is over the wifi capability of the phone. When overseas the most economical way is to take a mobile hotspot overseas and get a prepaid sim card for it.

Then tether the phone or pad to the mobile prepaid hot spot or the hotel wifi.

A lot of places to stay have free WIFI for residents on their stay

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
