So What's Everyone Doing For New Year's?

My 22yo Grandson will be staying here so I'll take him down to the harbour to watch the Fireworks. It's his first New Year's on this side of Sydney, so I'll make the sacrifice and take him down to Cremorne Point. I hate the crowds though.

I will be preparing our traditional New Year's Eve dinner of overcooked lobster tails and under-cooked baked potatoes (or vice versa).  We'll toast to the New Year with a glass of bubbly Alka-Seltzer (to counteract the not-so-delectable dinner I prepared) before heading off to our usual early bedtime. Gotta love traditions!

Wishing everyone a Happy and Healthy New Year!!!

Bump for NYE

Going to the local flicks to see the just-released movie Mr Turner (based on the life of painter J.M.W. Turner) - the latest movie directed by Mike Leigh.  (preceded by a bit of Malaysian tucker near the flicks) Looking forward to it !

Should be in bed before midnight though ๐Ÿ™‚

A group of us are going to a restaurant but will be home before midnight as we are mostly dog owners and some of our dogs, particularly my little one, go ballistic when the fireworks start.  We are ruled by our dogs, but wouldn't have it

any other way.      Woman LOL
