So, how long are we suppose to keep the Christmas Cards?

A work colleague saw me reading thru the Xmas cards and then chucking it out in the bin. She said that was rude.

How so??? Was I suppose to keep these cards for something????

Keep any which have elaborate promises written in them.

That way you can bring it back out if necessary as a reminder/contractual obligation ๐Ÿ™‚

I don't think that will be worthwhile . . . unless they have been properly notarised. ๐Ÿ˜‰

most people do have witnesses sign their cards too...the kids, the dog, the budgie ๐Ÿ™‚

surely that'd count??

that just reminded me of a real-life case where a man had sent his girl (now divorcing wife) a card where he'd said something like "all I have is yours" and she brought it out in court. Don't know the outcome.

Ok, so some people have their cards witnessed, however I don't think that a budgie's testimony will hold up in court, no matter how eloquent it is.  ๐Ÿ˜‰

it'd be funny though ๐Ÿ™‚

maybe it would be better with a talking parrot. "yes, your honour, that's my mark"

If she was a "divorcing wife" then didn't the man already do the "with my worldly goods i thee endow" bit?

or is that only the woman who has to say that?

They may not have had a traditional ceremony. Anyway, she kept the card for years...and years...

hmmmm. Maybe I should go and vet my card collection for promises I could collect on. ๐Ÿ˜‰
