So is it time

that we all stopped commenting or passing judgement on posts or threads that we don't like?

eBay is a large and diverse community, There are always going to be some that like some things and some that don't.

So, as long as the post/thread is within eBay's guidleines, is it time to just let people post what and how they want?

Perhaps if you do find something offensive, how about PM'ing the person involved to politely explain your position instead of doing it in a manner that may cause humiliation.

*Disclaimer, the above option did not work very well for me, so in no way can I advise that this is the best option, but just a suggestion. LOL.

When accusations were 100% false doesn't that have any bearing on who announces what?

Seems odd that a person falsely accused of being someone else, is expected to make a public announcement to try and clear it up (would people believe them?).

Why don't the people who do the false accusations.. fess up and announce they were wrong and apologise? That would clear it up for sure.

It might be time for you to start another Defamation thread, eh?

Seems that at least one poster in here could do with a refresher course.....

Depends on who it is that may be being defamed, obviously.

Finding a post offensive quite often depends on who posted it!!...... As long as this situation continues nothing will change.
