that we all stopped commenting or passing judgement on posts or threads that we don't like?
eBay is a large and diverse community, There are always going to be some that like some things and some that don't.
So, as long as the post/thread is within eBay's guidleines, is it time to just let people post what and how they want?
Perhaps if you do find something offensive, how about PM'ing the person involved to politely explain your position instead of doing it in a manner that may cause humiliation.
*Disclaimer, the above option did not work very well for me, so in no way can I advise that this is the best option, but just a suggestion. LOL.

I think it varies, since I don't read every thread, I can't be sure. :-)However, in my case I don't make mention of it, I just don't read it if the first few lines do not interest me.
Easily done, if I were to read every thread and tell those OP's that I don't like their threads or C&P's, I would think I was a bit obsessive and find something better to do.

don't you mean the 3 suzie???
I don't know them all
I am the same Az. I don't say anything, i just don't read them if I'm not interested

The thing is with C&P, the whole article that someone wants to post doesn't need to be posted in its entirety. This is something some people fail to register.
It is common in forums, that posters just post a small part of the article ( opening paragraph, one or two sentences) so other posters can tell what it is about and include the link to it.
Not many posters do it here (long C&P's), so it is not common practice here either.
Or just select a section, that is relevant to the OP and post that with the link.
If others are interested in the piece posted, they will click on the link and read more.
Otherwise multiple, long C&P (especially if from same poster all to one theme) just clutter up a thread, and make people cranky for having to scroll past so much stuff they have no interest in.
Posting links to prove your point is good, just not necessary to post the whole article, especially if it is mega long.
I will read a long article C&P, if it is in the opening post as that is what the topic is based on to discuss. I don't usually read long C&P posted in threads.

OK now I understand. If someone copy pastes in a manner not approved by some, we should harangue them relentlessly for weeks? Okie dokie

Posting long C& P's contiunally in the same thread, and throughout other threads is not that common here.

Yes thanks A3, I understand the rule now.

What are some of the other reasons that posters use here to harangue a poster(s) relentlessly (not for just for weeks, or months but for years) whom they are targetting? There must be plenty of other reasons as it happens here often. Pot calling the kettle black.

And yet time and time again some ask for the whole article because they wont open links or can't do so.
