So now We are One.

So now We are "One". What does that mean?

Does it mean we now recognise we are a multicultural society and do not support racism? Does it mean will will no longer discriminate between the ethnic races? Will we advocate for financial equality for all Australians where people do not get extra benefits because of their race? Will all Australians take the knee when white, black or ethnic Australians suffer a wrongful death because all lives matter? Will the historical resentment and hate heal?

Somehow I don't think so.

He's not. None of his progeny, or their progeny, have actual surnames.

The Royal Family’ official website states: “The effect of the declaration (by the Queen) was that all The Queen's children, on occasions when they needed a surname, would have the surname Mountbatten-Windsor.”

That would be why Charles' oldest son used the moniker William Wales when in the Defence Force.

How many use Mountbatten-Windsor? What do their drivers licences say?

"There are a few exceptions to the rule, in that any descendant with the title “His Royal Highness Prince” or “Her Royal Highness Princess” does not need to use a surname at all.

Some Royal Family members use their family’s territorial designation instead - Prince William and Prince Harry went by William Wales and Harry Wales when they served in the military - as their father is the Prince of Wales.

Any Royal Family member can decide not to use the official surname."

I think this explains it fairly clearly.

So it seems that, yes,  members of the royal famiy may choose to use a surname

And yes Prince Phiip is indeed able to give his surname to his children.

"Before 1917, the British Royal family did not have a last name, however the Queen's grandfather King George V officially adopted a surname in 1917.

The official surname of the royal family is 'Windsor' - which was decreed by King George V in 1917 - however Queen Elizabeth made a small amendment when she became monarch.

Before this point, the British Royal Family did not have a surname and kings and queens signed themselves using only their first names. The names of dynasties were used before a surname was introduced, such as the House of Tudor and the House of York."

Let's take this one first. LOL

From yur link.

This reflected Prince Philip's surname. In 1947, when Prince Philip of Greece became naturalised, he assumed the name of Philip Mountbatten as a Lieutenant in the Royal Navy.
