...want to go over the books right? Or maybe you'd be bringing your ministers together? Getting their portfolios together? Or perhaps meeting with your policy makers and strategists to determine the week/month/year ahead? Most likely you would be going over the most vital portfolios. You know the ones? The ones that are important to the country - health, education, infrastructure - that kind of thing.
But what crucial and vital tasks is the rabbit going to do?
Well lets see. On his first day he will: 'begin with instigating the carbon repeal process." Which of course will simply mean coming up with a new name for the same thing.
And then on the second day he will: "talk to the navy about new instructions for our naval forces in the seas to our north,'' which will simply be a meeting where the navy explains international law to dumb dumb.
Are these 2 topics REALLY the priorities for this country? Or ANY country? Really??

Well, he might begin that process, but you know how things are; that process might stretch out in time a bit.
Howard did make that infamous statement about never ever having a GST, but then he went to an election on a platform of introducing the GST which was meant to replace and consolidate many of our other taxes. That removal of those other taxes didn't happen or not on a scale to be memorable and we just got stuck with another great big tax.

Not so
All the sales taxes were removed in their many forms and asved a lot od work in calculating them in their manf forms from 1.5% to 33% and everythin in between ans collecting and policing that it was done right.

I can see the desperate posts coming out with all manner of fantasies & doomsday prophesies about what's going to happen under a Conservative govt. What will they take away from us?? what handout will I no longer get?? what non deserving freebie will be abolished?? this is the mentality of the middle class welfare that has permeated this country for decades, it has to stop.
People are not owed a life of doing nothing to get something. Welfare should only be for the people who can't help themselves & they should get a lot more than they are getting now.
The states were supposed to remove many taxes after the GST was implemented but they clung onto many of them. Have you ever known a political party to abolish a tax.:^O
A lot of the luvvies are now bringing that old GST chestnut back in the hopes of scaring people & trying to tar Howard with a great big lie.
That, as we know, never happened., He went to a general election on that policy & was swept into power by the people because he DIDN'T LIE about it. He was always known as Honest John Howard, a moniker that he wore with pride, a straight talker, the real John Howard was on show from day one.
He has been honoured with the highest honor of merit, he has not got any "job for the boys" after election & is still known as the best PM in our history after Menzies.
Not like Gillard who LIED to us 4 days out & tried to lie about it for months after until she had to say "yes it is a tax", not like Gillard who had no statesmanship or leadership qualities so she cast around for a personna, any personna, so we were shown the spectacle of "the real Julia, the knitting Julia, the fiesty Julia, the caring Julia, the begging for kisses Julia, the giggling patting Julia", there are many but all were seen through, she was seen for what she is, a hollow vessel, a tool of the unions & far left, a puppet of the Greens, a liar.
This was her death knell, from that moment she lost all respect & credibility, she was doomed to be reviled & loathed & never believed again, that's exactly what has happened.
Whatever has happened to Gillard she has brought on herself, she had no leadership qualities, she relied on union hard men to keep her in power, she lied every day, she has no clothes.

So an articulate well written post is now is emotive?? is emotive a bad thing? or is it you just can't take the plain truth of what has befallen Labor & Rudd/Gillard.
I could put up a reply in 2 or 3 syllable words but English is the romantic living language, it's a shame not to fully use it.
I am not one for one line snipes, sorry.
ps. knell means a bell ring, knoll means a grassy slope.
gillard?

the plain truth is that our Prime Minister is not dead or on her dead bad .
