well hopefully. the immediate post-war generation lived with the same fear which never materialised. Koreans nth and south are essentially no different to us, they don't want to die.
there's also an absence of religious extremism there to fuel the old 'what does it matter we are all going to heaven or paradise anyway' that the west and middle east live under to some extent. so the chances of them actually starting a conflict are considerably less in all probability. never mind the fact that they would lose badly.
