What things did you find contrary to what pre-conceived idea you had of a particular poster or something about them that really surprised you?
I was surprised to find out Elephant is a lot older than I thought.
Also surprised Icy is actually witty for a grandma.

Yes, I do know how FB works. Just because I said I don't use it, doesn't mean I don't have a FB account.

cs is only open to ebay members, facebook is open to anyone who you choose to invite onto your friends list, and friends of friends, or the whole internet world, depending on your settings. so many people don't know how to use the settings properly on there, when the default is not set to private.
would you really have any idea how many people are privately emailing things around between eachother, unless they mention it publically? no, but I bet it happens all the time.

I think if you went to any police station and tried to report it as a problem, you would be hard pressed to have the police offer any assistance, they would more then likely suggest you block the person, and limit your dealings with them.

CS can be read by anyone. You don't need to sign in to read it. Any member of the public can take a few moments to sign up and join in.
A public forum and a Facebook account - not comparable.
Beside the point anyway - why do people want to repost FB posts here, or allude to what they have read there - 1 reason - interpersonal dispute with someone.

i doubt any involved would even think of going to the police over it

No can't see why police was brought into it.
Posting that sort of stuff here, just shows up the person doing it... untrustworthy, creepy, stirring etc.
Doesn't achieve anything.

mods. deem referrin' to a thing that 'appened elsewhere, and
bringin' to to cs, to be a furtherance of an interpersonal dispute.
