What things did you find contrary to what pre-conceived idea you had of a particular poster or something about them that really surprised you?
I was surprised to find out Elephant is a lot older than I thought.
Also surprised Icy is actually witty for a grandma.

Gee eloi you have gone all straight, haven't seen you since you put that link up that started everyone off LOL

so how come no one is mock horrified when a link to the newsletter of the school that my children attend was passed around and discussed here on CS?
I think it was azureline (apologies if I am wrong) who disclosed that and another poster gleefully posted information gleened from that newsletter on here.
Not that I mind from my perspective, as it only provided proof of what I was saying, but stalking my kids was taking things a bit too far to try and prove me wrong.
Well I thought so, anyway.

mods dont care what happens on off ebay sites eloi, and they will tell you that too
eloi has been lying low and avoiding the fall out lol
and I wanted to add, I don't think joz is in any way creepy or stalkerish like some have alluded to here, just a friendly and nice guy:-)

I think anyone that posts personal info about another member deserves to be treated with disdain.
It's not mock horror crikey. I think it is genuine revulsion.
I don't recall what you are talking about but I am sure there would have been CSers that took exception to anyone doing that.

its often about popularity
if you are on the wrong side, people are only to ready to jump on the band wagon and lay the boot in it seems
safety in numbers, and hunting in packs seems to be the way of things on public chat forums.
the backslapping always boosts peoples egos

Its not about popularity. If any person does what has been done in here, no-one would applaud them. Most people are disgusted with that sort of behaviour.
I never saw the newsletter referred to above.
I would still like to know what any person who copies stuff or alludes to it from outside CS expects to achieve by doing so? Just makes others more wary and distrusting of them?

I would say many of people's trusted "friends" have done just that many times, they just havn't told them about it and are better at getting away with it. they probably just have the added skill of being sneaky on top of all the other attributes.
how well do people really know someone they have only interacted with online and never even met? you can only judge at face value
there are not many people around who are 100 percent trustworthy

Are you accusing & naming someone of doing something but not even sure if you have the right person?
on 22-04-2013 11:35 PM

LOL, as in they have more clues than to brag about it on a public forum?

no - azureline was sent the link - I didn't say she did anything wrong - she wrote something about it on the boards - but I can't remember what - but something like she had informed me via PM as well.
